I actually did as well. It was just not my regular credit card...it was 12/23.

Was it the first time they had a cherry sour from The Bruery? I have always thought that their cherry offerings (OTwC, Sans Pagaie, ToDwCaV) have substantially more pucker to them.

More pucker the better IMO. I wish ToD with Cherries had Upland sourness.

Upland is on another level of pucker. Never had anything that sour. I still enjoyed its intensity though.

Most Bruery sours are highly acetic (a tribute that they did not always have but which seems to have taken over a few years ago). I count it as a flaw, but at this point I think they would have to completely start over with their sour barreling program to eliminate it. I still really like their sours and drink them regularly, but truth be told I would prefer if they had less acetic. Its not an "infection" per se, but more of a "house character."

Ignis bottles weren't all infected, I had several that were fine, only one was off in flavor. I don't think they'd refund all the bottles since it was maybe 20% of the batch that actually went bad.

ToD Vanilla was mindblowing, I highly doubt they had problems with it, and if so maybe just a few bottles at the end of a batch or something. I know people are always eager to call the Bruery out the minute a bottle is off, but you have to assume once in a while, even with the best QC, one bottle out of a thousand will have issues. Every brewery out there has that happen.

I had an infected Ingus and they replaced it. I haven't tried new the one yet.

From the Tasting Room Instagram looks like the Hours have changed to 12-10 everyday for pours and pickups starting 3/1.

    Hey guys,

We have received a few reports of "bad" or "off" Ignis Fatuus bottles and have seen a couple more "reported" here. We have researched the information we have, and our current understanding is that there may be a small portion of the beers showing off flavors.

If you have tried a bottle recently that didn't taste as it should, please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can find a way to make this up to you. If you have the bottle code handy, please include that in the email so we can track the lots.

    Cheers,
    Matt
