Who or what is OP? Maybe I've been up too long today and this blazing world I'm drinking is taking its toll, but I don't know what that means. This beer is amazing none the less though especially because its offered year round in a six pack at 10% abv and cost less than $20. Amazing vanilla coffee stout that stands up to most big hitters.

Being quite readily available in my local market I think this does go under the radar somewhat. My nearest beer store (as in 2 blocks away) has a decent all round selection, but always has the large format bottles of Victory at Sea. So more often than not i'm heading straight for it. The first time I tried this it definitely blew me away too, and it consistently holds up.

Delicious on draft, haven't had it bottled yet. It was a nice surprise, really enjoyed it.

So this became less tasty when others could get it?

I didn't vote because there wasn't really an option for "It's a really nice beer that has become easier to obtain". It does however surprise me that you have been here since 2008 and haven't heard about or had this beer. And don't take that the wrong way...that's why i didn't vote for the last option:wink:

Ugh. Me too. But I actually crave more vanilla. I got so excited after my first bottle that I bought a ton, and now I am aging it to try to recapture some of the original thrill. It did not seem so coffee forward the first time.

I would vote for above average, but I wouldn't term it as phenomenal.

Well, maybe Whale is the wrong word, but before it was so easy to find as it is now, it used to really rare here on the east coast, and so when you could get it, a rare find it was.
