Woo! Hopefully they're already making BCBS Uncommon, to be followed by Prince Henry.

Will they label it at <14% ABV and distribute it to GA?

Not sure that I care between a 750ml and 22 oz.

Odd, I got BCS in 2008, 2009, 2011, but failed to find any in 2010. I figured that had been the smaller batch. I cautiously welcome the AB-InBev-Modelo capital investment in Goose Island that is needed to make more BCS. They haven't messed it up yet!

Don't tell BA user Highbrow, he thinks half of all BCBS in the future will be thrown out by the brewers!

I don't think it's a given... I mean BCS has been a blend of barrels for a while, so as long as they're sourcing the same barrels, just in larger numbers, should be OK. Plus, GI has bourbon barrel aging down to a science these days.

I mean, yeah, it's possible, but I don't think, at least initially, there's much to worry about. Once they start running out of top-tier barrel sources, I'd get worried.

I've generally been pretty apathetic to the AB-InBev purchase of GI. I buy just as much GI today as I did pre-AB-InBev.

That being said, I'm kinda disappointed with the switch from 22oz bottles to 750ml. It seems like an opportunity to increase margins to me. I doubt AB-InBev would allow the capital expenditure on new bottling equipment if the ROI wasn't there.

What I heard when talking with Laffler back at Night of the Living Ales was that he wasn't happy with how Wheat Whiskey Bourbon County was turning out, and that it likely wouldn't be released in 2012.

I've heard that Cherry Bourbon County will be the next variant released, but no idea when.

    Everyone loves rumors

    Cheers!

    A 750ml bottle is 100oz (~15%) larger. Bring on the 750s!
