Sorry -- no argument from me - agree with you on the origin of the current general style of ipas and dipas sweeping the nation as Cali. I was referring the Alchemist/HF/Trill/Treehouse style ipas. Stone does not currently brew such beers and I think it would be cool if they did.

I will still buy it for the novelty when the date coincides with something. For instance, a 2/14 purchase is interested so I can spend time with my true love that doesn't talk back....beer. I bought 3/14/15 because I thought the whole Pi reference was pretty cool I though (I probably wouldn't have thought of that coincidence). I probably wouldn't otherwise buy another Enjoy By unless the above applied.

Mitch Steele and Greg Koch posted that Enjoy By uses the same hops for each release.

    Cheers!

I think it's an amazingly consistent beer, if there's any real difference in between batches i couldn't tell, but it is also one I think I could pick out blind, very unique taste profile.

New England fresh DIPAs distro'd in MA. I'd say all are comparable alternatives to Enjoy By

    Road to Ruin
    Larry
    Capt Daughter
    Calcutta Cutter
    Brewmaster Jack varieties
    Mass Rising (DIPL)
    Galactica
    Hopulence
    Rebel Rouser

With moderate effort Trillium and Night Shift

Stone has already said on social media that the 4.20.15 release will be available in 6 packs....which is a great move. The beer is phenomenal, but people only buy bombers when they "have" to...6ers are a much better format and will offer a freat beer in a much more marketable size and price point.

    Flavor-wise or interest-wise?
Flavor-wise, it should have only fairly subtle variations.
Interest-wise, it's gotta depend on the drinker's tastes and location/distribution.

Where I live it still hits in small enough quantities to get one-bottle limits upon arrival, but I can usually go back for seconds over the course of the week before its gone or find a similar situation at another store to acquire 2-3 bottles if I want.

That said, it's still an exciting release (it's in my top 10) - for my tastes, it's the equivalent of a Pliny or Heady in an area that doesn't get Pliny or Heady - although as mentioned, they seem to be pumping it out more often and in greater quantities so that, for some, the thrill may have died and they have moved on.

The smaller bottles will undoubtedly renew interest in the beer, and I'm looking forward to that as well.

What Jack said. Something to that effect posted here...

Depends on allotment I'd say. The 3 or 4 shops I see it in is out by the end of week it comes in, usually has stocked only a case. Still tastes amazing.

My biggest hope is that the beer industry sees this and decides they can sell more beer in 4 and 6 packs than they can in bombers. Albeit at a lower margin, but it is better to sell beer at a lower margin than not sell much beer at all.

As soon as they start selling it in six packs (if reasonably priced) I'll buy more of it. Same goes for any beer by any brewery. As of now the only times I've had Enjoy By was on tap once and another when a bottle shop was clearing it out and had them for $4.99

Awesome beer and goes with in a few days in my area. Can't wait for 4 packs, curious what the price will be.

I think you will be waiting a long time...it is launching in 6 packs, not 4 packs.

All this crying......too many times year....if it was a limited 2x a year you would whine it should be year round. If its so good just buy a bottle everytime its out or shut up already. I do not think its amazing. Good but after two tries I am done. Not a huge stone fan anyhow. Have not bought their beer in over a year. Have tried a few new ones at shares and really likec Xoco???? whatever its called

    Enjoy

I heard 4/20 it was coming in 4 packs. Why would they go to 6 packs?

I bought two this last round and will probably buy the 3-14-15 and the 4-20 one. That being said, I think they have over saturated the market a little bit around here. The releases have been a little close together and there is some of the last batch still sitting around

I don't feel that it is a failed concept, it just needs a little tweaking. They need to make it a little more "rare" feeling again and find that sweet spot with distro.

I do remember complaining on this board when they decided not to distribute a batch to a particular state

It's still a really good DIPA and I will still typically pick up a bomber when it hits the shelves here. I do think that they're making it too often now though. It's also too $$ at $7.99+/bomber.

I hope that the switch to 4 packs will help this beer sell quicker. I know I'll be buying more of it.

As with anything, this is personal preference.

I usually pick up the Enjoy By releases and really enjoy them. I think it is "world class" and at $8-9/bottle, in think it's reasonable.

I'd love to see these available in six-packs...but I feel the same about every good beer only avail in bombers.
