I was about to start a thread about bottle releases in general. Spent so much money! Hope this isn't over-hyped and disappointing...
PS - drinking a devil dancer ATM and don't know what to think. American barleywines and high ABV DIPA's should be considered the same in my book!

Tricky because half the places I tried in Columbus yesterday were still closed / without power from the storms, so not really sure.

Yah I agree...especially if you age big abv dipa's they can reach barleywine status

FYI....Devil Dancer is a Triple IPA. Aging a malt forward DIPA like Double Crooked Tree probably will have that aging effect, but not a hop forward DIPA, where aging would just make it taste MORE like an armpit!

    That's right.....armpit!

    MY (not yours) two pennies!

The normal guy that works there took the week off. Some girl said she talked to a rep and he said middle of July. I heard it came in yesterday and was lucky enough to get one.

FWIW, i think Binnys has awesome pricing on 90+% of their beers, and the limited release stuff is on the lower end of pricing too. That's why i tend to throw my biz at binnys

Anderson's on Brice Rd. had several bottles on the shelf at 1:00 PM today for $12.99. Also had a few bottles of FFF Apocalypse Cow.

Just got a bottle in Holland, MI, waiting on the call from the only place that started a list. Store I went to only got 12 bottles and hadn't put them on the shelf yet.

Seems like this stuff is making its way onto more shelves in Chicago today.

8th Street Grille is tapping a keg on 7/13. Sounds limited though...I'd get there early.

I got main and I had some last night ant its pretty darn good I must say. OT but dont you find it funny, or not, that these releases happen and all of a sudden the trading forums flooded with them. I swear there's at least 10 FT threads trying to trade FMB for something.

Now that my friends and I were able to secure our bottles, I'll pass this along. South Loop Market on 235 W. Van Buren has about 6 bottles left in their beer coolers for $13.99.

If this happens to help someone out that's willing to trade me a Founder's CBS for some different stuff, keep me in mind!

Now that I've got mine, I'll tell the rest of you where you can find. Oh yeah, and if you can trade me a CBS for some unspecified beers, that'd be great.

    Really?
