Toppling Goliath Brewery appreciation thread...

Of all the new threads talking about TG, including the Iowa thread...you found one that hasn't been posted in since 2013 to ask this question. Bold strategy Cotton.

 

One word stands out in your response..."speculating" we have more than enough evidence to speculate

 

After seeing TG news and speculation gobble up the "distro" thread, I thought to myself, "Self, I bet there's already an appropriate catch all for TG discussion I could plop this in." And, this one had the most fitting topic IMHO.

 

Am I crazy or didn't they announce on Twitter its being bottled for a March release? I hope I didn't just imagine that because I have my mother in law ready to pounce when the release is made

 

I mentioned in another thread that it would be bottled due to a conversation I had with the taproom manager (Todd I think his name is). When I said, "Will SR-71 be bottled?" He replied with, "Oh yeah, for sure. Just don't know when." I took that to mean this batch would be bottled, unless he was thinking they'd brew it again in 2017 and bottle that round.

 

All indications are it is bottled and will be released sometime in March.

 

Tomorrow is March!

 

Heading down there now to camp out overnight in anticipation!

 

I'm bringing a busload of hobos. We will have a hobo camp filled with Mabe's pizza and burn barrels. Thanks for clarifying MPatP!

 

TG just dropped out of EBF today due to production issues which I assume is due to the brewer quitting. Anyone know how else him leaving will effect future batches or appearances (huna day , other fests they already committed to....)?

 

Damn and boom goes the dynamite. Huge bummer for toppling goliath but I guess you could see this coming looking at the limited tap offerings at the brewery.

The "really bad" tweet has been deleted, thankfully. The "coattails" comment is still up. Sad that this gets posted right after the SR-71 release.

 

Man, all the TG people are super cool and have been nothing but great to me. It's such a bummer, like watching your favorite band break up.

The reality is both sides in this ordeal are extremely talented and I'm glad that it worked as long as long as it did. I wouldn't judge either of them on this, emotional issue.

The only "coattails" that are being ridden on, is TG riding Mike's coattail. Remember that super secret sonic boom? Mike's beer. Remember that beer that got you where you are today? Mike's beer. TG wouldn't be shit if they were only pumping out Clark's homebrew kit crap.

 

It's pretty easy to ask Mike to remove the TG info from his twitter in private so as you don't look like a giant ass to all your followers.
