I could be misremembering, but I just thought there was more chatter last year regarding the Juju release. Either way, I'm anxiously awaiting both it and Chillwave. Hoping Juju hits my local shops today.

One of the best from GLBC but just a better than average DIPA.

I'm sick of seeing all the untouched GL Conway's Irish Ale cases out on the floor. Discontinue bottling that beer and ramp up the production of Chillwave!

Not sure how you took that meaning but no I'll drink the shit out of it but the name just sucks balls. I much preferred 'Alchemy Hour'.

Both names kinda suck. Just combine it, "Alchemy Chill"

Disagree that it is "just better than average". To me it is one of the best. Hop JuJu and Columbus Bodhi are great as well. I feel Monster is more in the "just better than average" category but everyone's tastes are different.

Talk about a beer that doesn't get a lot of love!

I really enjoy Conway's, though. Between all of the IPAs/other hoppy beers released at this time, it provides a nice change of pace.

I could see if GL stopped producing it though...it does seem to sit. Now why they're stopping The Wright Pils, I just can't understand. That seems to sell well. And it is (or was) my favorite Czech pilsner.

^ Yeah, DIPA overload right now. Chillwave is the only one I am really looking forward to.

Conway's does have a special history with Great Lakes. People will probably buy more of it around St. Patty's Day.

I enjoyed Wright Pils last summer too, not sure how much they made though. Excited to try the new Alberta Clipper in May.

Just got word it will be here in store next Tuesday. Although dist. only has 240 cases for a huge area. Hopefully I get my two I ordered.

My wife contacted the distributor regarding the Detroit area. Supposedly not making it to the 'larger' stores (Kroger, etc) and will also be on tap at One-Eyed Betty's in Ferndale.

Hoping to have a pint and at least a couple 4-packs in the fridge by this time next week.

Drinking a best by 5/7 at the moment. Something is definitely off. Some skunkiness and a distinct lack of hoppiness.

Hopefully it's an isolated handling issue in the distribution channel and not indicative of a larger batch-wide problem.

Purchased at Anderson's in Toledo FWIW.

Going to have my first one today. Luckily my local beer store has 5 cases. And they don't seem to be going that fast

I love this beer....but ive never thought of it as a beer that you have to make sure you dont miss. It stays on the shelves well long enough for anyone to get....at least around here.

I loved The Wright Pils. Great stuff! This is what an American take on a Czech beer should be.

Really? Who gives a shit about the name? Personally, I think the name is just fine. In a world of goofy-ass beer names, that nowhere near ranks. Chillwave is awesome, Juju is awesome, Lake Erie Monster is average, not balanced enough IMO. Once Bodhi is bottled, other states are gonna be hard pressed to compete with that trifecta of Ohio DIPAs. Brew Kettle's El Lupulo Libre is pretty incredible as well. Oh, and don't hate on Conways Irish Ale. Not my favorite style but that's a damn fine brew!

    Sadly, no.

Was very disappointing but I'll pick up some more when it hits the shops around me. Haven't read any similar accounts yet so it's probably an isolated problem.
