Stout BIF Round 4 Hints & Hauls

Regarding the

• Beers must have a minimum rating on Beer Advocate of 85 or higher.

If there is not enough ratings to show 85 or higher, but the rAvg is 4.00 or higher, is that ok?

So I have my sender down to 7 possibles, 4 of which are guys that haven't really eliminated anyone. Of the remaining 3, one seems much more likely than the other two. I'm not quite ready to call out that one.

 

I tend to think so, especially if you've had it and enjoyed it.

 

Man, good rule of thumb is if you would want to get it, send it. Normally that rating limit is set to stop someone from sending a box of bud. If you have one bottle unrated, or even under the 85 mark, who cares. Send a nice overall box and no one will even notice.

Not sure what you're asking but...well i spend way too much money on sours (they cost more than everything else) but they are from all over the country and Belgium so....there no specific connection., just several different guys and lots of brewery trips.

You probably need to make a specific few trades. Not many people will trade real lambic for anything other than more lambic or heavily lopsided (in their favor) quantity trades; but US wilds/sours go for stouts and barelywines all the time.

If I am your sender i'll include a west coast sour or two for ya...

 

I loved me some Zima in the 90s....back when a beer worth drinking was hard to come by...
