I've only rated/reviewed 12 beers on here.. it is difficult to take the time and write a meticulous, carefully crafted review when all you want to do is drink a beer and enjoy the moment. I tried for a bit, but reviewing each beer I drink just becomes a bit of a chore.

I've rated almost 500, just started reviewing about 6 months ago, to better remember the good/bad points of each new beer. I keep a rolling word document of each review so I can go back and compare the different variances between releases and beers. I agree with the poster above that said sometimes it's more than just drinking beer, more of why does this beer taste better to me than another of the same style? Beer appreciation instead of just beer drinking.

Sitting at 1507 as of now which is a nubie compared to many others here on BA. I do have a few friends who are well over 3000 but they also, for the most part, crack beers to tic. I like to tic also but I have no problem of cracking (and repeating) beers that I really enjoy. Overall, I like to drink whatever I enjoy without ticking, depends on my mood.

I'm coming up on my 1,000 review, I don't do just ratings. Back when I joined, reviews seemed to have a lot more importance and emphasis on this site. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore, especially now that a 5 word sentence is now considered a review.

I rate the beers I try that stand out to me, good or bad. But now that we need to fill out every single attribute, I have only been reviewing a few I try. Too much work to do all that for every beer.

235ish and counting. I make a point of reviewing, not because I'm any sort of expert, but because I really like to write. My reviews are straightforward with the odd anecdote thrown in. To me, beer is pretty subjective, so I don't mind revisiting my reviews when I repeat. It has been a lot of fun to try so many different things and I'm looking forward to the next 235 reviews.

21 reviews so far... no "just one number" ratings, and planning on keeping it that way (my mind doesn't work in "just numbers" so if I'm going to give a rating at all, it's going to be in words. And probably a lot of them. The separate ratings for taste/smell/etc. make it a lot easier to convert my thoughts into number form, too... if the only option was the "pick a number from 1 to 5" I probably wouldn't ever do ratings/reviews.)

I try to do a review for anything I've had more than once now. When I first got started (up until... maybe early December of 2014 I think?) I didn't do reviews at all, though, so there's some beers I've had a few times before but not reviewed.

Rating helps me remember what I've had and it's interesting to see how my tastes have changed over time.

Case in point - LOVED Sea Dog blueberry wheat about 10 years ago; now - undrinkable

Started rating this year. 98 so far and all are beers that I have tried this year no ratings from memory. My goal is to rate100 of the top 250 beers. Long way to go as I am only at 24 on that list.

Just broke the 500 mark a little while ago. I like to try new beers and tick them, but there are plenty of beers I just plain love and can't pass up when it's finally time to buy some beer too.

Approaching 1250, started reviewing in early 2006, slowed down considerably in the last year or two. Almost all are full reviews; I do it to remind myself what I've liked, and why.

1474 beers, all reviewed, nice to see how things change in terms of what I enjoy and also helps track beers Ive consumed. I used to do a lot more and now seem to get a handful a week. I definintely have had morebeers than I review and dont do anything at festivals. I also feel that importance of reviews on this site has declined over the past couple years. It does help with thinking about beers that I may want to find and try.
I also think reviewing helps me think more about the beer when I am consuming it.
My first reviews (2003ish) definitely helped me learn more about and appreciate craft beer more

I use the rating system for the same reason. I like knowing if a beer is worth trying again or if I just didn't care for it.

    Untappd: 500+

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy this site, I'm just more of a reader here than a poster. Untappd is just a lot quicker and I like the way I can organize things on it. Sure, reviews are set under 160 characters but that's enough for me to put some details down.

I do it for my records. Some people have a book. I like this. Plus when I revisit a beer I like to look back after I drink it and see if I still feel the same.

I rate them after I drink them. But I don't really review, cause its hard to explain what I like about a beer.

Like I rated Goose island brown ale and I rates it perfect and I'll rate Dirtwolf as a 4.75, I can't use words to explain why but I like what I like.

I prefer untappd. Don't have the time to write a novel about a beer on here.
