Ha ha, just givin' ya a hard time @barrybeerdog - Cheers!

As far as the changes, I think the proof will be in the pudding. If it's distributed fresh, as PAs should be, and it tastes the same (or better?), they will get a LOT more beer to market. I get the "pride in the local boys' work" point of view, but in the end, I mostly just like drink the stuff, so more will be better than less, mathematically speaking.

Why is it that people start turning on breweries just like the do bands when they start to be very successful? Do you have a problem with the people who have poured their money and time into making something great making money for their efforts? Or are people just butt hurt about their trade values dropping?

It's great that they're expanding production even if it means contract brewing. Sure, it's not quite organic growth, but still, if it means I get easier access to pseudoSue, that works for me. I am hopeful that they can dial in the recipe/system to make it taste just like it came from Decorah. Then that also means they are free to brew more of their other beers. That is never going to be a bad thing.

If one if my favorite bands decided to contract out their songs and have some other big production band record and release them on their behalf.... I'd be looking for different music.

Even if it sounded the same and there were more great songs?

Good for TG on looking for a way to grow WITHOUT dropping a million bucks in the short run. I have read that one of the biggest gripes is that it won't be "super fresh" If I recall, a couple of weeks ago Abrasive hit your state and in memory serves me, that was s 2/6 can date...at least a month old and people had a hard-on for it.

Cigar City and Alpine both do some contract brewing, and I assume there are many others that do it too. If this was a bad deal from CC, I am sure they would bring it back in house. If they bring a semi or two up a week and drop off Sue in cans, how can that be a bad thing? I hope they throw some Jai Alai on there as well.

It sucks that Mike left. Hopefully the beer will still flow and taste the same as it did before

To some the glass is half full, to others it is half empty. I think I can guess what it would be for you

Isn't it some random brewpub in Kansas City? Green Room I think it was.

That could be. I know KC is correct and thought I heard Boulevard, but that may be wrong.
