My dude. Until you've experienced the humidity plus heat of a Columbia SC summer, you've not experienced hell. I'll park at the courthouse at 830 AM and bf I'm through the front door I'm drenched in sweat. The FIBS and Colonials may very well freeze me out in winter, but nobody can get me overheated.

Where in San Diego are you gonna be exactly? It's a huge county and tons of breweries and bars spread out all over the place. If you're gonna hit up TigerTiger Id also try Blind Lady which is right down the road as well both owned by same people and both have great tap lists. Slaters 50/50 in Liberty Station has amazing burgers and one hell of a tap list too. And their burgers are amazeballs. Modern Times is right down the road from where I work and is a pretty cool spot. I'd also suggest trying to hit up Societe if you're down in that area. If you can explore some more, Alpine is about 20-30 minutes east of the city depending on traffic. Lost Abbey is further north by where I live. Up this way you've got LA, AleSmith, Stone and a few others.

As far as bottle shops, there's one by me that I like called Distillers Outlet. Down in the city there's one called Best Damn Beer Shop. The other liquor stores I've been to so far are usually hit or miss though. Hell, some of the gas stations I've been too have some pretty decent selections.
