So fired up the little MiniMax BGE tonight for a quick dinner.. Enjoyed this local guy just released while I cooked and ate.

Ol' Wooden Head, a DIPA from Burnt Hickory, who has... been killing it on bottle releases lately. Very tasty beers, and happy to have them locally. The Civil War themed stuff( they brew in the city famous for a big battle ), is pretty neat to me too.



Then decided I had hunted it enough.. finally scored a bottle.. I LOVED BA Narwhal.. I thought it was Top 5 beer for me last year. It was what makes me drool for barrel aged beers. The vanilla and coconut notes they coax from the barrels was unreal. I've had great BA beers, but the balance and the flavors were top notch.

I expected the same in the BA Bigfoot.. Not a mega fan of Bigfoot, but really like it, and this barrel aging makes this beer fucking amazing. SN needs to do a cocoa coconut BA Stout and the world would explode. I can't wait to get a sip of the Maple Stout that @jdhowe has graciously saved to open with me soon. Closest I'll get to CBS, and with the barrel aging SN has done.. wow.

Super long day starting at 630 am and ending with 12 hours work. No worries. I'm going to dayton to visit our friends and bringing darklord 2010 and Oude tart with cherries and Rubus rojo....what's going on in the backseat? Oh that's the baby projectile vomiting up the Mexican mommy took her out for tonight. Just finished cleaning up the car and car seat and everything else and she wrecked the bed with round two. Round three is a coming I'm sure.

Maybe we will head that way tomorrow morning but tonight we stay home...
