Legit question, does bottle number mean anything? I can understand the very last couple bottles being undesirable because they might be dregs, but other than that?

 

If it was bottled in batches, the higher numbers being infected could indicate the barrels that were dumped, the bottles, the process, the caps, something was infected with bacteria or wild yeast at that point in time.

Alright, guess it's time enough to figure out the winner of my Voodoo Barrel Room LIF. The total number of bottles I had in my apartment as of my post on March 15th was...... 217!

78 bottle haul on the 14th (mostly consisting of Gratitude/BA Gratitude), almost a case of BA Blackout I still have sitting around, countless bottles/cans of Nugget Nectar/Head Hunter/Hop Juju/Not Your Father's Root Beer stocking the fridge, 2 cases of Flatitude (one 2011, one 2012) that I'm holding onto for no apparent reason, other random beers here and there... I was actually surprised it was over 200 to be honest, but it makes sense when I think about it.

I honestly have no clue who is closest and don't have time to go back and figure it out right now. Will find winner tonight unless someone wanted to do it before then. Thanks for playing guys!

Ok, so in this particular instance it matters because there's a cluster of "bad" bottles around a certain number; but generally speaking, when there are no known issues?

 

Oh god does my head hurt. Barleywines were the theme of last night's beer club.

These were consumed primarily by three people with two others who came late and left early. We still had regular and BA Bigfoot but my friend justifiably talked me out of splitting them between us at 2 am.

Also got an excellent box from @bruindre!

Super pumped to finally try Not Your Father's Root Beer. And I've loved everything from Trillium and the Rubbel sounds awesome. Plus Night Shift and Maine AND Heady? Fuck, dude. Thanks for the killer beers Andrej!

 

I've got @UtisTheLaw with 216 taking the win, though I didn't look at when you closed down guesses, I doubt anyone happened to land on 217 in the 60 pages after his guess.
