About to start the boil on a session pale/ipa that should be ready for me and @jdhowe to crush in a couple weeks.

Fresh released Mandarina Bavaria, and Hallertau Blanc.. and just decided to toss an audible, and throw in a little Lemon Drop hops from this years crop in the whirlpool.

Should be a good light combo.. Southern Sunshine.

Ahhhh.. you got presale.. I thought you were staying for Sundays public release... Was confused..

Hopefully I'm up there for an Angel release.. I'd end up doing the presale if I have the ability to do so. Maybe Red Angel will suck and the hype goes down for the rest..

To everyone in my WM 31 LIF, revising the deadline for entries to Sunday, March 29th at 5pm EST. They moved a few of the matches to the pre-show (Fatal 4 way and the Andre the Giant Battle Royale), so the event officially kicks off at 5pm now.

Good luck to everyone that entered! I'm doing a WM bottle share, so will have some pics up and well as the final kill shot later tonight.

    Cheers!

@ThreeFishes has really helped me drink well these past few months since the 12-shipper he sent me for no reason at all. After these 2 gueuzes, I am now down to one bottle left (Hunaphu's '14, which I plan on opening next to my buddy's Huna clone homebrew soon). Just wanted to throw a huge thank you out to Jim for everything he does for this group. Such a great dude who deserves every bit of good beer karma that goes his way.

Everyone please stop talking about Tilquin before these trade hoarders discover it's as good as Cantillon.

Yeah really... well.. I can't say I know it's as good as, but I know it's GOOD for sure. The squared was so legit. I'm sure they age well, but I can't keep them around long enough.

Meh. I had two of the quetsch last year and both were completely flat. I don't think that was the intention, as the tilquin gueze is moderately carbonated. Reminded me of that loon that's designed to be flat, i'm blanking on the name right now. Broucsella?

There were carbonation issues with some of the Quetsche bottles if I recall correctly. I heard the 750 ml bottles were fine and the 375s were sometimes flat, anyone else hear that?

So, I'm going to be filling a well used bourbon barrel today with a sour stout. pH was at 3.02.. for those who can correlate sour beers, and their pH.. Put it this way.. it's fucking sour. I'm on the hunt for some cherries.. You MIchigan guys can help me.. when the best time to look for sour cherries, and a place to get them? Need about 5-8 pounds.

I also have a small barrel, that @blue-dream knocked me with.. The guys sends mega swag, so I got a barrel, how about that shit.. It's been soaking in some white wine for a bit... Well... a while..

Anyways.. an imperial farmhouse saison is about to take hold of that bitch. It's sour as shit too.. 3.19 pH. Funky doesnt explain it. It's like eating the hay from a barn.. no horse blanket... the floor. It packs a punch too at lmost 8% abv.

Behind them.. a lambic that I don't feel is there "yet".. and a sour farmhouse saison, that is petite around 5%, but will be boosted with a ton of apricot or peaches.. or both soon. Gotta see what the local upick organic place has their peaches jussssstt reach to pull off the tree while tart.

I think Batch 2 of the Quetsch in 375ml bottles had carbonation issues. At least the one or two I had did. The 750ml was amazing and had no problems.

Anything you find these days is of a new batch I'd assume, so I'd try again. Seriously worth it.

The Quetsch is phenomenal, better than the original. In all seriousness, I prefer a standard Cantillon gueuze over the Tilquin but that Quetsch is hard to beat. Tilquin^2 is just another level altogether.
