It's not the easiest beer to get, because no one knows when it's going to drop at the stores. When it does, it's usually one or two cases. I lucked out and got a bottle from my uncle. Usually Hunger Mountain has some, but by "usually," I mean once a month on a random wednesday.

I did indeed, the backsplash is the old "vintage" fireplace in my living room (no longer a working fireplace, but a cool feature). I tweaked the lighting a bit after the photo too, but definitely my pic. Glad you like it!

Interesting... I know next to nothing about it, so even this little bit of info is helpful. What does it tend to cost and any recommendations about what might make a good offer in trade if I decide to go after it in a few months (once I drink up these past few trades)?

@zekeman17 here's an un-altered photo from the same spot that I just took, no flash. This stuff is still tasting fantastic by the way.

Maybe @ElkSherpa could shed some knowledge on when and how to get those sour Michigan cherries.

I honestly only had their beer once, but it was really good. They tend to be a straight up blendery. The beer is produced by near by breweries, but they handle it in it's wort form.

Bottles tend to be around 20-25 bucks. Trade value, I'd treat it as a "mid level" Hill Farmstead beer like Sue or E.

If I come across it in bulk, I'll pick you up one.

Speaking of E. and Sue, anyone have either/both of these and willing to trade? I'm currently trying to compile a large stock of different HF bottles for a tasting. Currently have Arthur, Anna, Dorothy, Edith, Convivial, Brother, Florence, Norma, and Le Sarrasin.

Awesome, thanks! It's definitely not an urgent thing, but it is on my radar as something I should try, so if there's an opportunity that isn't creating undue hardship for you, let's make it happen.

I've got Grassroots Arctic if you want it. I'll just send it if you do. Need nothing in return. Let me know.

    Today... I turned this:

    into this:

With the help of some hops, some heat, and a little time, I finished with this:

and I was left with this:

After all that was done.. I had to reward myself with this:

Holy hell is this a fine, fine... fine BA Barleywine. I like this better than BCBBW for sure.

Got two sours in the barrels.. a Centennial IPA kegged and dryhopped with 5 ounces of Centennial in the keg, and a full fermenter of a Southern Sunshine Session IPA, that according to my calculations.. based on my pH reading, my new mill, and just being an overachiever in life.. won't be a session IPA unless you think 6.7% is sessionable. Bah.. Will work out for the best since I made it a bit hoppier and bitter than planned.. Mandarina Bavaria, Hallertau Blanc, and Lemon Drop.
