Ever broken or spilled a great beer?

Was using a old 4 pack to carry a bottle of Consecration and Peche n' Brett when the bottom of the pack gave out. Luckily I was close to my car and was able to catch them between my chest and the car window. However, I did spill my entire 10 oz glass of World Wide Stout last summer.

 

Spilled a bunch of cali brandy hunaphu, does that count?

I had some expensive crafts break on one of my first outgoing trades. Learned the hard way there. Double wrap, double box, double check.

 

dropped two bottles of BA abraxas when i was moving. the bottom of my crate gave out and only those two out of 6 (the other 4 being bruery bottles) broke.

to this day im still so sad as ive never had that beer.

 

Accidentally dropped a Firestone 18 anniversary at a local Whole Foods.....luckily I was with my kid blamed it on him and just walked away like nothing happened

 

the bagger at this jewel accidently dropped a 4pk of bcs to the ground this past year. All survived... but I asked him if he could get get me a different 4pk lol. However it made me think; does dropping a beer or impact to the bottle cause anything to happen to the beer? (outside of the apparent foaming that occurs inside the bottle)

 

Recently dropped and broke a bottle of FFF Behemoth

 

My wife and I went down to Weasel Boy to share some beers with my bosses, and she had the bottles we were sharing in her purse. She fell in a hole near the brewpub and nearly broke her ankle. When she fell, the bottles broke. One of them was a Rose De Gambrinus. That one made me a bit sad.

 

Can't talk abut it right now.

 

Oh God, I remember that. The news spread like wildfire that somebody lost their entire allotment after just buying it. I immediately placed mine in my backpack and guarded it like a lost treasure.

 

Tears were shed...beers were lost.

 

I would think there's definitely concerns over cap and/or glass integrity - I wouldn't want that 4pk, either.

Of course, who knows how they're handled before we ever see them, right?

 

I've been lucky so far. The only damage I have to my name is 1/3 of a Yum Yum that I knocked over on the counter while fixing dinner. Only had a couple sips left and the glass was fine, so meh.

 

That's kind of, no definitely, a dick move.

 

Never broke one, but........ I had some Pliny shipped cross country to my place of work and put a few bottles in the break room fridge. Sure enough, one of my employees, who had absolutely no clue what he was drinking, grabbed one and took it home. Came in the next day and said. "Man, that was bitter. What are you doing leaving skunked beer in the fridge"

Brutal........

 

Drank half of my BC Rare, put a wine stopper in it and put it in the wine fridge. When I went to get it the next night, the stopper had blown off and the beer was all over. I was pretty upset, until I saw there was still a good amount left in the bottle.

 

Not exactly... our table had been sitting there enjoying our draught pours for a while, and when Doug started showing signs of opening the line for seconds it was dropped (also not by me) in the scramble. The guy got his bottle replaced for free, and one less person got a second bottle.

 

Unloading car after 4 Elf party last year... Wife drops an entire case of BBPT5...only 4 bottles broke, but still I about cried.
