I have to ask if April 18th has anything to do with the fact that 4+18 = 11+11 ?

Hey Houston: @Clarkson , @cultclassic89 , @ajaylock and @EA728...I fly into the Houston area and am staying in a town called Tomball I believe nw of Houston. Any good places to grab a beer/meal near me? I'll be here Monday and Tuesday night.

I used to be in the Louetta/249 area a lot, but before I got into craft beer. I probably couldn't give the best recommendation restaurant wise, but there's a Mellow Mushroom (pizza/craft beer) not too far from Tomball. I would also check out the Vintage Park HEB off of 249 and Louetta if you want to pick up some beer. If you see Jordan or David in the beer/wine department, you can tell them Tim Warren at Central Market sent you. Maybe they'll have some good stuff hidden or something they can hook you up with!

As far as more inside of Tomball, I'm not really sure, but hopefully you're not far from those places.

    Cheers!

Ughh the ISO:FT boards are seriously making me crazy right now, really hard to get a fair trade done without a bunch of bullshit messages/flaky people. Sorry for the rant

Yeah, I've had very little luck over on the ISO/FT here. My new strategy is to keep everything in the family (locals and other BIF's). If someone here doesn't have it, do I really want it anyways? :stuck_out_tongue:

Unfortunately I know very little about that area. I will 2nd what Tim said though, just based on word of mouth.
If you do venture all the way into the city then I can help and have many suggestions.

I was looking for a Kyoto Sump for my Hommage and trying to hook up multiple Vanilla Rye for a V015 +. I understand this may or may not be off depending on what area you live in but i have gotten crazy messages from people that are super angry it's funny. I've had a couple people flake out on trades lately too so it just seems it's not worth my time at the moment.

To be honest I saw concerns of infection when I researched it online after receiving it. Which is why it went straight into the fridge for consumption ASAP. I didn't notice any signs of infection yet, there was an intensified oak but still plenty of Bourbon. No sour notes although I consumed it after a couple sours so palate could have been numb to the lacto. Wasn't anywhere near a drain pour split it with a buddy and he agreed.

Yeah, I hate thread-shitters and trolls. If you're not offering sincere constructive criticism, save the ignorant remarks for something else. I hate putting out ISO posts too, because sometimes it is really hard to know the value of things. I feel like sometimes I'm just trying to get the ball rolling and start negotiations and people can't wait to rip you apart. It's scary out there...

I didn't know anything about the infection or I wouldn't have sent it, sorry man. I have four more of them, kind of pissed actually because I have no way of returning them during the timeframe offered. Looks like i need to get drinking lol

That's really awesome of them to not only offer to refund the purchase but also do a "customer appreciation" event. And they're right, refrigeration is key, as long as the beer stays cold enough to keep the bugs asleep, the beer should be fine. Quick consumption is nevertheless also a good idea.

It is a cool offer, minus the fact I can't get to the event or to return them hahaha. They are a really good brewery regardless.

Well sure, I get that they can't make it perfect, but most breweries just say "oh, too bad". In your case refrigerate them, the colder the better (higher than freezing of course) and drink em quick.
