Ever broken or spilled a great beer?

I broke a bottle of Talisker in a steep parking lot on the ice. The assembled crowd gave me a 10 as consolation. I was dead sober. I've broken and spilled more beer than I can remember, I think.

 

Dropped my allotment of KBS today at the local Binnys. One shattered into a zillion pieces leaving a pleasant scent in the check out line. They were kind enough to give me a new bottle.

 

thats what i call good customer service.

 

I once awoke in the morning to find an almost completely untouched goblet of Orval on my nightstand. *facepalm*

Does that count?

 

Woke up with a fully spilled tulip of KBS split between my midsection and brand new chaise lounge. Maybe should have punted instead......

I never have, but although not all that special, my brother dropped a bottle of Southern Tier Krampus getting out of the car after just buying it once. Also a buddy of mine dropped his pour of some cask stout and shattered his event glassware at Blue Point's Cask of Ales festival once.

 

I didn't actually spill this, but just last week, I was having a beer at a bar when the guy next to me ordered a Parabola. The bartender came back with it and said it was the last one on tap. Right as he said that, he dropped the beer all over the bar. A piece of my heart died in that moment.

 

I accidentally played beer pong with Rum BT a few weeks ago (thought it was regular BT). Doh!

 

This may not technically count given the thread title but, before I was into craft beer, a family member gave me a sixer of Two Hearted as a thank you for helping him with some yard work. At the time, I was pretty content with my Boston Lagers but decided to give a shot to a new beer. I took two sips of the Two Hearted, almost spit it out, and drain poured it. Looking back, I was not in any way ready for something that hoppy and aggressive. I think I ended up throwing the other 5 out

Fast forward 6 years and here I am, drinking Two Hearted nearly every time I go out to my favorite restaurant. It has become one of my favorite IPAs. I still loathe the fact that I wasted a perfectly good sixer of it.

 

You have that many BT that you would consider using it for BP? How did you feel once that round was over????

FW 18 broke in a trade, as did a couple of WW Sours once. Great trading partners though, both made up for it plus some. My roommate was pretty floored when he realized that random people that I trade with are some of the nicest people

 

Dropped a Westbrook pint glass (no longer made) full of Weyerbacher Insanity on concrete.

 

That's called drunk ass.

 

Got beer mail from a buddy - a few Pliny's, a few Blind Pig's, and one can of Heady. I was taking the bubble wrap off of the bottles with a razor blade and without thinking, began to cut the wrap off of the can of Heady. That fresh blade cut right through the can and sprayed liquid gold all over my face. I was able to save about half of the can.

That was a sad day.

 

I don't understand this thread... It is against the rules to drop/spill beer.

 

Yes, I have that much BT haha. And it was only used for a special cup (although a healthy pour), not all 10 cups.

Damn labels are almost identical between regular BT and rum BT.

 

moving beers around i dropped BA sexual chocolate and broke bottle. was able to salvage little less than half the bottle.

 

Hit my glass and spilled a few Oz's of my BCBBW once, but other than that I have been very fortunate to never have spilled a (great) beer.
