Thanks, but I should be good. I've got plenty of Weyerbacher, a few Erie and plan on picking up some Susquehanna.

I've never done BIAB. After shipping, how much does a box like that set one back?

Yea- I got the email, but stupid work got in the way and I didn't see it until it was gone. Probably shouldn't have bought it anyway but that Boos would have made it tough to pass up. The box with LPG and St Lam seemed nice too!

I think that box was 160 euros. So $175 and then an extra $75-100 for shipping overseas. So $250-$275 would be a good estimate in my experience.

Not bad since you could probably flip the Framboos for $250 worth of beer if you didn't want to drink it (I know I would, but as a thought)

This is exactly what is wrong with Beer today... Love ya Kevin, but that type of mentality joking or not is what is driving prices up both retail and secondary and sending the trading scene into the ridiculousness that it is.

When Framboos 2011 was on some of these sights it sat for days and was about what the cost of 3F OG is nowadays.

I know you were saying it with at least partial jest, but it's something that grinds my gears...

Just dropped off two boxes compliments of BDSM. I think I'm getting pretty good at this. Might start an actual service called needaproxy.com.

Sorry, maybe my () was unclear, "I know I would" meant "I know I would drink it". I guess I should've phrased that from the other direction, as "Not bad since you would probably have to send $250 worth of beer to land one in a trade". Two sides of the same coin, but that coin as a whole is why I will probably never taste Framboos.

We're very much on the same page, trust me there.

i gotta piggy back on this. its not just what people will demand, but also what people are willing to give up to get something. its value trading. period. i think i brought it up in here a few months ago, and i got some "its capitalism" responses or something like that.

can one of you poobahs start a petition to split the iso:ft section in 2 parts: one for value traders and the other for $4$ traders (or pretty damn close to $4$ traders)? there is no way dustin should have to give up $180 worth of beer to get 1. 180 DOLLARS! ONE BEER! makes me sick. that isnt beeradvocacy. im sorry, but its not. im not sorry. just irritates the piss out of me. like, i really get mad when i see fucking ridiculous posts for people trying to land something.

i will never do that to someone, nor will i complete a trade if someone is trying to do it to me. true story, i was able to get my hands on some pizza boy sours that hit distribution. they were $30. someone offered me a $12 beer (one i wanted) from de garde because "pizza boy is overvalued". what the fuck does that mean? its value is $30 because that is what i paid for it. i told the guy off, not really, i nicely said i wasnt interested in doing something like that. dammit now im pissed.

I don't see you guys giving @dust_bunny shit for his recent trade. It is what it is. No one forces you to do the trade. Honestly if I bought that box I might be inclined to trade the Framboos as well. Not for $250 worth of beer but for some nice bottles I can't get. But you pay that much in shipping it factors in. Now what about the guy who buys Kbbs at cost and trades for $120 of rare beer? I think that is by far worse than this example due to the shipping costs.

I think it is easy to avoid this situation. Think of all the amazing beer available on the shelf you haven't tried and just drink that. Human nature is to want the hardest o get stuff....or maybe that is American nature.
