No. It is still in Chicago. No letter in the mail.

I talked to Kurt today and he said Chicago has never been a problem before. Possibly just slow but they always make it through O'Hare.

I guess I should have noted it has yet to receive an inbound to customs scan since arriving in Chicago two weeks ago. Must have found a cozy cart in a dark corner.

I've never ordered before but I got the itch today. When you complete your order does it allow you to pick what airport it goes to? I live in New Jersery outside of NYC. I'd perfer it to go to Newark Internation Airport instead of JFK. JFK would cost me an extra $50 in bridge and tunnel tolls to pick up my box!

I'm not sure if this is a joke that simply went over my head, but your shipment gets delivered to your door. What's being discussed is the various ports of entry that it might pass through on the way.

Kurt is the man at BIAB. He even shipped some stuff for me that I got during my Europe trip (paid for it of course). Ended up with everything you see here right of LP Framboise in one box, perfect condition. Took less than 10 days to get to me in Florida:

They ship it right to your house\office.
Another carrier takes over after it goes through customs.
Order now you won't regret it. It is expensive, but with the euro so weak it is a little less expensive

Not a joke. I honestly didn't know. I use to work for a tropical fish importer. I'd pick up boxes of fish shipped on airplanes from overseas in which you would pick up your package at air cargo. It's actually very common. You'd see tons of people picking up personal packages coming in from around the world all the time. I was just under the assumption this was the case with all the talk about port of entry.

Wow! just ordered for the first time from BIAB this afternoon and their selection goes quick! Was able to get the new spring 2015 "Tasting Boxes Sour Cherry Selection" and the "Belgian Sour Selection" from the newsletter! Hope everything goes well with the shipping :flushed:

If the returning of boxes of beer sent to the US expands, wow. Those Belgian stores are going to be hurting.

If anyone on the west coast wants to receive a BiaB message me and I'd happily be a mediator at no cost to you.

They will just pass along prices to others using their services. Just like a $4 beer turns into a $9 beer online they will lay their costs onto the user. Plenty of people willing to pay the up charge.

Have fun with the increased prices, my European cousins!

This must have been years ago. They never seem to have Cantillon, and the ones they occasionally have are just kriek or regular gueze.

I'm passing on my condolences to the others using their (Belgian beer stores) services.

As I noted, I bought a large portion of it elsewhere and Kurt shipped for me (along with a bunch of stuff I bought from him)

FYI they offered up a Belgian Sour package today that included both Lou Pepe Gueuze and St. Lam, among others. Might have sold out by now.

Anything besides Gueuze, you can't wait around. Hesitate 3 minutes and it will sell out. Trust me, I have hesitated before.

Ever since the dollar started kicking the euro's ass it has been insane trying to order any Cantillon. If it goes back to 1.30, it will probably sit around for a little bit. But at damn near parity, who wouldn't to get in on that action?

It sold out in less than 30 minutes.
