I think it was one of the Mint Chocolate stouts you sent me. I believe you sent me 3-4 bottles and I forwarded one on to someone else as an extra or something like that because it was on their wants list.

I will say in all honesty that if someone sends me a bottle or can of a style I don't like, it's fair game to me. Typically, any sours I receive end up getting extra'd or traded away. I'd rather someone else who appreciates them get them than me just drain pouring beer. There are times where I may just suck it up and drink a sour from time to time but that's just to see if my taste buds have changed at all. There have been times where I was surprised like the recent Council sours and that V015 that I picked up for a few in here.

One time someone traded the beer i sent them, I killed him and his family of five, had sex with their dead bodies then stuffed them in a freezer and ate their bodies over the course of a decade.

Oh, and I pulled off all of those "Do not Remove" tags off all their mattresses.

In all seriousness though, i could care less what people do with the beer i send them, but i personally would never trade a bottle i was ISO that someone just gave me, that shit is being drunk by me and friends. But if i get styles of beer i don't like, a lot , i give my beer to other people who will enjoy it.

Pickitupformebro's are fair game as long as it doesn't end up on the ISO:FT board (goes as a ninja/help someone out instead). IMO if you establish a formal trade the bottles are fair game. I did see someone here try to flip bottles I gave them on ISO:FT once, and I was pretty upset with that so I see where you're coming from.

I agree with this. I know for certain that @Mipper and I have texted back and forth before with the "I know you sent this to me, but I know someone who would like it even more than me". At the end of the day, its just beer, but if you are going to flip something (and it sounds like this was done quickly), then at least shoot them a message or something to let them know.

Well, my interest is piqued. Also, I've done this many times as well. In fact, I had plans to send someone a SiTRw/K and before I could send it, someone else sent me one. I obviously wasn't going to alter my plans

I don't remember the last time I've traded outside of this group, so if something you send me ends up in someone else's hands it's because:
A.)I've already had it and someone really wants to try it
2.)It doesn't happen to be a style I like and someone really wants to try it or
III.)I really want to try it but someone else REALLY REALLY wants to try it.

 

So I notice the point a few times and I agree. If someone sends you a 6 pack or 4 pack of something and you send one or 2 off then thats cool too...

The only time I ever get irked by this is if the person is trading away a bottle I sent to hit a want or one that I picked out especially for them. But I agree with the other folks that once you send beer away, it's now theirs to do with as they please. Especially if it's something the person has had before or many times. I love Westbrook Gose (seriously, that stuff is fucking great) but I ended up getting more than a six pack over time from different people in this thread, so I shared the love by sending out a couple as extras. I hope I didn't offend, but I'm a ticker at heart and I just have so much beer at any given time that I need to drink so I don't mind sharing something I've had multiple times before. And I think most of us in here really like to give more than receive (careful...) so maybe this person in question is just spreading the love.
