    Hi all
My wife is particular about her beer, and really likes yum yum.

I am able to get it fairly frequently, but am looking for some in state alternatives that are regularly available.

    TIA!

Thanks for the input but my wife has tried most shorts beers and doesn't care for most. The only one that I can think of that comes close is Prolonged Enjoyment, and that's seasonal.

I've not had Yum Yum, so I don't know what it tastes like, but I see that it's description says that proprietary hops are used in this beer, thus no other beer is going to match it. However, with hops frequently tasting similar to each other in many cases, maybe a description of the taste of this beer will cause some suggestions to be made for a close match.

I think you answered it yourself. If she is particular about her beers and really likes yum yum & you can get yum yum fairly frequently, give her yum yum. Why bother trying to approximate it.

When I saw this thread I thought to myself, "I really haven't had anything else that tastes like Yum Yum." Now I know why.

I will run out before I can get it again. Last time I was at the brewery I used my allotment on dust.

It's a mild session ale. Nothing special to me, I can't really describe it.
