Teach me how to organise etc (like you did for the BIF) and I will kick it off when I get back from the US.

The problem with BIF in Australia is there is so limited amounts of beers available, and all of those of us who are interested in them have either had them/know where to get them/are not interested in them.

Not trying to spoil it, but this isn't the US where 90% of the stuff isn't available to everyone.

I loved Philly. I remember Monk's Cafe being awesome, as well as the Standard Tap (all Pa beers), and Tria (if I remember rightly).

Make sure you get some fresh Victory Pils (especially one with Spalt). Some of the best lager you will get outside of Franconia.

I'm enjoying my first Stone and Wood Pacific. Well made beer, enjoying it thoroughly.

When Thoreaulikeagirl was telling me about the pubs she mentioned Monk's and said 'You have to go there. It's required. Mandatory.' Who am I to argue. I also like the look of Tired Hands, Tria and Kraftwork.

It's hard to remember that I'm actually going there for a wedding and not just a beer tourism.

On Topic: When I get home, some Hop Hog, followed by some Haand Costa Rica, followed by some Old Rasp. All in bottles. Then when I'm too drunk to care, I'm going to smash down the Hahn Harvest until I can't see properly. 'Why?' you ask. Because I'm on holiday. That's why, motherf__kers!

Sorry, I'm a bit excited. It's my first holiday in 3 years.

Just as a short return to 'Whats wetting the whistle': Drinking a Hoptimum. Good god those SN boys know how to brew!

Also been really enjoying the new LC single batch, I know it doesnt get a lot of love here, but it's very well brewed and surprisingly balanced given how forward the spice profile is.

    Some of us like it.

It's just Lukie. But then again, he hates anything that doesnt contain the words 'Cantillion', 'lambic', 'free', 'for' and 'you'.

Man, I have been offered free beers a lot that I refuse to drink.

I am way worse then you think.

Was wanting a nightcap, so I cracked an Eldridge Pope Hardys tonight. Had some oxidation with older vintages before, but this ('94) has held up brilliantly!

Pretty decent beering these last few days, QLD Beer Week and all. Viven tasting on Tuesday, 5 course meal paired with Mountain Goat beers last night at Scratch and me and some peeps tasting stuff today as well - a couple of different Dupont beers, Brooklyn Local 2, Rogue Creamery 75th Anniversary Ale, Mikkeller Spontanale, Cantillon Mamouche & 2006 Rose de Gambrinus, 3 Fonteinen Straffe Winter and Armand’4 Oude Geuze Zomer. Real nice.

Just a Guiness in the lounge at Montreal airport. Not great but better than nothing. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of beer being produced in Ontario where I was for most of my time in North America. There are some simply fantastic IPAs being produced along with some experimentation.
