This doesn't exactly apply to people who at least know what they're talking about somewhat, but calling anything that's bitter "dark" is the most annoying thing ever.

Another vote for "cloying" I see that way too much in reviews.

Also "lawnmower beer", I like a smooth light bodied beer anytime, anywhere...

Faint. I use this word in literally every beer review I do. "faint aroma of caramel" etc. I need to stop this.

I do that too. 99% of the beers I drink are medium bodied.

Definitely "Craft"....which seems to be used mostly by the relatively newer brewers. The old brewers just make good beer...it didn't need a separate name trend.

Me too. Not faint but tremendous. A faint whiff of the cognac barrel, of the cabernet franc barrel, of the whiskey barrel . . . was tremendous

Not exactly a problem in the craft community, but "Domestic."
    As in
Today's specials, all Domestic Pints $2.50, Sierra Nevada Pints $4.

I know what they mean, but domestic is domestic -made in this country. I wish they would call it all Macros $2.50.

I know, I'm a big butt. I also bitched all throughout high school that Dead Kennedys and Ramones could only be found in the "import bin" at the record store. How about putting DK in "small distribution bin"?

I'm not sure why, but using the term barrel 'program' never sounds right upon reading it.

    Or "sour program"

But totally agree. Both phrases have a half-martial, half-academic ring to them, neither of which I want to associate with a bunch of guys brewing beer.
