So @PA-Michigander and I had been going back and forth on a trade for a couple days, hadn't finalized anything really yet though. What do I see when I get home tonight, but a big ass package sitting on the front porch. Well hell then!

The little guys:
Whole lot of new ticks in there for me! Added a second bottle of Dark Horse BBA Plead the 5th (to add to the one I got from @Tee2Grn. I still haven't tried this beer, but something tells me I'm not going to be sad at all having a second bottle!

Moving on to the larger guys:

The Pizza Boy crowlers were really the only thing we'd talked about. Pretty stoked to get to try some more of Pizza Boy's sours! That Eternal Sunshine with Lemons was just added to BA on 4/14. Talk about #LehighFresh! Oddly enough, I haven't actually had Chimay in probably 10 years. No idea why other than Belgians seem to get passed over by me for some reason (though I do like a lot of them). Can't wait to revisit! Spring House Blood Lust sounds very interesting. I've really enjoyed what I've had from them, and RIS is a style that I typically really like.

A great box @PA-Michigander! I do hope that you have properly reinforced your porch, as revenge will be sweet!

A question to the Pennsylvania contingent: Have any of you seen Snitz Creek Brewery bottles? They're out of Lebanon. They have an Opera Fudge Stout and a Setzer's Smokehaus 7 that would be near and dear to my wife's family. Would love to track some down but have no idea if they even distribute.

 

I hope you're not a fan of IPA's and APAs.
Because if you're not - you're about to become one.
If you are... well, everything else will be mediocre from here on out. Especially after those middle 3 ones.

 

There's a distillery in Sonoma that we visited the last time we were there called Charbay that makes a hop flavored Whiskey from Bear Republic's Racer 5. I don't think we got to try it while we were there, though did try a lot of their other stuff and really loved it. Awesome place (and quirky in an interesting way).

 

I loved it but I'm not that knowledgeable about whiskey. My whiskey snob friend that said it sounded gimmicky is coming through next weekend so ill report back on his opinion.

 

Ballast point actually does a bunch of liquors now too. And I think mikkeller did a hoppy whiskey, guess it's the new thing

 

I loved Smokehaus #7! Split a 64oz growler with a buddy of mine. I'm not aware of bottles but they do have growlers.

There has been a strategic attack launched at the Souths infirmary. If you wipe out the medical team the wounded have no chance at getting back to the battle.

I'll keep an eye out for those beers around town. Would you want growler fills or mainly looking for bottles?

 

Sure, sure, but we havn't 'agreed' to anything, so I guess I'll send what I damn well want as long as it contains what you're looking for as well

Bottles. There would be a very solid chance that 1 bottle would end up getting shipped to Portland, so growler probably wouldn't be the best idea to ship around the country twice.

ETA: Just read Mipper's post. Guess if they don't bottle then I'm interested in a growler

 

Lebanon bologna gets eaten so fast around the family that I'm pretty sure it could be the basis of a magic trick...

 

They may do brewery only bottles or a real small distribution footprint. I'll do some research and get back to you, never been to Snitz Creek but the wife and I talk about going all the time, sounds like a good enough excuse to make the trip!

 

They do bottle but only sell at the brewery. I'll give them a call today when they open to see what they currently have and I'll make a trip over sometime soon and pick you up some stuff.
