Destihl Wild Sour Series - Counter Clockweisse & Here Gose Nothin'

 

What'd you think?

 

Both are solid but not spectacular, hit the spot for what I was craving.

 

The Here Gose Nothing was way better than their Flanders IMO.

 

It damn sure does lol.

 

I skipped the flanders, something about it just didn't hit me the way the gose did, and the same with the Counter Clockweisse. The gose however I really enjoyed, a good enough substitute for Westbrook since one requires shipping and the other does not.

 

I agree I thought their Gose may be my second favorite to date.

 

It might be my third if I actually like Ritterguts as much as I think I would. It was my first gose, so my memory of it is without the context of having had any others; though when I had Westbrook (my 2nd) sometime later, I remember thinking I liked Ritterguts a little better.

edit: I know you don't see much from Germany in your neck of the woods, I've gotta grab you one of those next time I see it.

So a serious moment is in order. I've heard from @phuntasy that @mklisz's surgery went well but he's far from out of the woods. Mike and Paula are two of the best people I've met in the beer community and our time was very fleeting which tells you how awesome they are.

Before the LOCALS, Mike had sent me some home brew as part of a trade. It is a style I don't care for, Belgian Dubbel. It immediately went in the fridge and I considered it from time to time. There must have been a reason I hadn't opened it. It was meant for his comeback from the surgery. So tonight I open this beer that I honestly say is worthy of commercial status (at least for the style that I don't like ).

Get well Mike, you'll be missed until you're 100%!

 

So the last two weeks have been crazy. Between work and selling a house I honestly have had no spare time to keep up. Hell of a 2 weeks I picked to miss.

So I stopped by my mommy's after work to do some repairs on her walkway, it's getting to the point where I'm gonna have to pour a new slab! And of course there's a box there from one of them ol bluebellies. Hell I didn't even fire a shot at this one, I guess he just has something against me. Great box @UcDru i think I've only had 2 of them and definetly don't mind having them again. Let's hurry up and do this before you know who catches me!

See here, I done ran outta shampoo and soap last week, just been a usein dish soap. And that plastic bag will be prefect to hold my lunch sandwich next week.
