Saw you, as well as Alex W posting these on untappd last night back to back. Small world, i met him as he stood right behind me in line for trilliums upper case release. As far as i know he is not an active member on the forums correct?

 

That's funny, I Met him for the first time last night, not sure if he's on here or not, I only knew the host..mi think their whole group was a EBF though

 

i had asked him while in line and he just mentioned being a lurker. lol

Delayed pRon time! Now half of this is from a LIF win in the MLB BIF, the other half because @PA-Michigander has a soft spot in his heart for Fine Southern Gentleman.

I should know better...

I showed up to Pizza Boy today after work to finally get @PA-Michigander the 4 pack of BA Mouflan I picked up for him, and just have a couple beers with him, and of course he gives me two beers in addition to the payment... I need to know to bring an extra or two when I plan to bring him beer. Nick is too generous.



#VBS! A blueberry homebrew he gave me. Upon telling me what it was, he tells me "it's not that good". While it's nothing super exceptional, it's still not bad either! A nice beer to enjoy while watching some hockey.

While at pizza boy I had three new ticks of theirs: Eternal Sunshine, even though I have a bottle, haven't cracked it. Really good. Eternal Sunshine with Lemons, also damn good. Expected it to be very similar, but the added lemon changes the flavor a good bit, not in a bad way, but also not in a way that makes it a significantly better beer, just a different one. Also had Trung Latte, a very low abv coffee brew. A little thin on the mouthfeel, but plenty of flavor, a perfect cap to continue having a good beer without having to worry about my ability to drive immediately after.

 

That latte is like 2.x% right? I remember reading about it being brewed a while back.

@PA-Michigander that's at least twice recently I've seen people credit you with giving them homebrew. Are you brewing now?

Eternal Sunshine with Lemons? I think the regular has good lemon flavor to it already so that sounds awesome. Is Eternal Sunshine a regular beer there, or a limited one off?

edit also yes that latte was... 2.7% I think? Though when I checked it in on untappd the only option showed like 5.4%...

 

It's definitely not a limited one off, as it was bottled a little while back (only one bottle release afaik), but the recent tappings are, to my knowledge, a fresh batch. I don't know how many times if at all it was brewed before the batch that saw bottling.

My buddy, the Dolphins 'rage smash' guy and I have brewed three beers. One that was absolutely over carved and borderline undrinkable, a brown ale, one IPA that was actually enjoyable and a blue berry weizen (his choice) that turned out as intended.

I know I mentioned in the share convo, but good chance I will be there. I'll be in the Philly area visiting some old friends, meeting up with @LehighAce06 , and visiting forest and main and hopefully tired hands (unlikely for TH but still possible) all within a less than 48 hour span. Will be a busy couple days but I think I can do it since I'm also off saturday and will have time to unwind (random 3 days off from work? I'll take it, even though I'm not being paid for the extra day... oh the joys of being part time but working 40+ hour weeks most of the time)

 

@devilfluff it'd be cool if you could come across town for this, I remember you said you hadn't been to Forest & Main yet, right?
