Nice. I was wondering how that would turn out. I also appreciate the small businesses stepping up in their own way to highlight and support craft beer.

Is anyone going to Fatheads later today for the Smoke n Burn release?

Hop Farm's Copper Hop is cool. In fitting with the Goonies vibe, it's intentionally muddy/murky, has an old school malt/hop balance with just a little twist of raspberry at the end. The idea of pairing a beer with a movie sounds kind of ridiculous to me in theory, but sitting watching The Goonies with this beer, I got it.

So how does the Piper's brunch thing work on Wednesday? I basically work this entire week so if I were to go to any event I guess it would be that one. Though beer before noon seems bleh. I don't even wake up before noon usually. But if I don't do that this will be yet another year I've made no events ever since PCBW started up.

They put up a pretty detailed menu for the event on the PCBW site. Looks like KBS will be there. It runs 8:30a-3p.

The Sour & the Funky went well. 20 drafts, 31 bottles, biggest selection so far with very few repeats from previous years. Some highlights for me were Pizza Boy Abascio-Cell aged in Pinot Grigio barrels, Brew Gentlemen Loose Seal, & many were turned on to the awesomeness of Cuvee des Jacobins. The weather didn't hurt, either.

Here is the list for The Freshman Cask maƱana.
I think I am as interested in this event as any other for PCBW this year.

Oh sorry, I should have been more specific, I more meant is it first come first serve and a normal brunch seating or is there reservation only or anything? I kind of figured sowmthing like this would be a ticketed event but obviously it doesn't say so so I wanted to clarify that's it's just show up and beer last as long as it lasts. Thanks!

I don't know, but I doubt it's a ticketed event being spread out over 6.5 hours. I wager first come, first serve and normal seating. I think you are good to just show up.

@HumphreyLee @RblWthACoz I'll be there before noon. Either of you going?

It's first come, first serve. Drafts should last awhile: I reckon til at least noon-1ish, likely later for some.

Probably a bit early for me to be starting up. I mean, just because it's tomorrow. I don't want to ruin my rep or anything.

Noonish is about when I expect to get there then and yeah, I'll probably be present. I need to get out and do something enjoyable whilst in the midst of two months worth of 55 hour work weeks.

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.
