Yeah, if you're trying to figure out pricing, a shipment with two identical boxes I'm fairly certain is twice the price of shipping one of those boxes. Shipments are really there to make it easier to track and keep things grouped together. I'm fairly certain it doesn't provide a price discount.

It's best just to input a bunch of "trial and error" options into FedEx's site and keep hitting "Calculate", see what works best. And don't forget to go back and lop off a few pounds before creating the actual label

I think you're referring to a tracking number with 2 boxes vs 2 tracking numbers with one each? You are correct that there's no discount here.

My interpretation of the question was "do i send two medium boxes or one big one?" In which case, see above.

Had a share on Sunday to wish @hambone85 the best in Durango, CO. Popped open some phenomenal beers, 2012 CFH included, but I have to say every beer @jawas sent me was a hit. Such a damn good box!
Just had my car flooded, but as soon as that all sorts itself out, I plan to send an epic return fire box.

Also, holy SH!T that Regular Coffee is fantastic. And I had no idea how high that ABV was until a few sips in when we discovered it on the can. Well done Carton. How do they sell those? In singles? Would love to trade for some more, again when my car situation is sorted out with.

Regular Coffee was a one-off (second annual?) batch, and while it was sold in 4pks, it has been loooong gone. Any you find in the wild now will be a single can here or there that just hasn't been consumed yet, and since it doesn't scream "cellar me" I doubt there's too much of that.

 

I'm foreseeing a Bengals W and a porch destruction on a Shittsburgh fan. A box bet?

And it was in some deep water when I, not knowing any better, attempted to start the car again. So I'm pretty sure the engine is shot, will hear from the insurance tomorrow if it's going to be totaled or not. Damn Houston weather finally got the best of me.

 

Others answered that question well, so I was just handling the part of the question specifically asking information about using shipments on Fedex (as opposed to individual tracking numbers). I've used them in the past in another life (when I was helping to run an online video game retailer and wholesaler, and was basically the entire shipping department), so I understand how they make shipper's lives easier for multiple-box shipments, but they don't save money and really aren't that much easier for an individual.

 

Sorry to hear about your car. I hope your insurance will be easy(ish) to deal with on this.

 

@LehighAce06 - I saw you alluded to this in another thread but I have to ask: do you know when the sign up for the 12 days of Xmas in July starts (it looked like it)?
The wait is excruciating.

 

No I'm not sure when that's happening, I do know Chad isn't running it this time around, but I don't know what the timing will be. I just hope that I can be clear of the list of boxes to get out that I've got backlogged right now so I can play, that has to have been one of the most fun BIF rounds I've done.

Do you know who is running it? Same as you, I really want to make sure I can be a part of it but do not want to have too many boxes to ship on my plate. It was so much fun though.

As for the BM, I first thought about asking you about the 12 days this way. It worked out in the end.

 

Please BM me. I did some reading on Wikipedia so I think I get it now, but I'd still love to know more about it.
