Opened a bottle of Coconut NT last night, and like everybody else tasted, there is that slight tartness. It's not bad by any means, and I kind of enjoyed that flavor being there. There is a ton of coconut flavor and the carbonation is spot on.
The next batch of this series should be amazing with all the issues put to rest. Looking forward to it.

I'm sorry but i have trouble believing future bottlings won't have similar issues

Wow, the Grandpa's Got a Gun is awesome. It's a brandy aged maple ale. On tap in their tap room.

The coconut would be really delicious if they had nailed it... because everyone else has covered it pretty well, I'll just leave it at that.

First off, sorry about the rotated pic. Anyways, as much as I've enjoyed reading the sniping back and forth on this thread, I stayed out of it, but I figured I'd throw my experience today in here for what it's worth. Opened my 2nd and last bottle of bb blackberry just now. It had been sitting in my basement the past few months. When I opened it, it literally foamed up, out the bottle, and on the floor. Poured into a glass and took the above pic. While it did take a while, apparently it did carb up and then some. also, Imo it's excellant. No off flavors or infection or whatever u want to call it. Great flavor. Again, for what it's worth. (No I didn't shake it up or drop it prior to opening)

Thanks for sharing your experience, @Drew26. I gave my Blackberry a month at room temp to carb up, then cracked much too soon, apparently.

Has anyone tried BA Convenient Distraction yet? Thoughts?

Cracked a Coconut on Tuesday. Had a great aroma but that unmistakable tinge was there, the taste of infection. Same little bite from young Peruvian Mornings before it got bad. So sad, it was so good on tap.

Then, for science, we cracked a Blackberry NT. Didn't carb up as much as ^Drew's did above. Had a nice little berry note to it, was decent for sure.

Now I'm just wondering what to do with these other two Coconuts I have. :slight_frown:

Brewery told me via email they would exchange the Coconuts at a future release.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm going to hold onto mine and exchange them also. I don't really care for sour coconut milk stouts :slight_frown:

    Goldilocks Revenge- Great beer
Sour Coffee- Super weird, not sure if I like it or not
BA Convenient Distraction- Sour smell, sour/tart taste, drain pour
Blackberry CD- completely flat, drain pour.

    Pretty sad, pretty sad.

I saw fresh bottles of Blackberry at Riley's on Tuesday (no dust on them) next to the new Goldilocks. Pretty sad they're sending that back out into distro.

If they pour like the one in the post 8 up from yours, I dont see any issue with it.

i had ba convenient on tap at the frambos release. it tasted weirdly like ginseng. i bought a bottle of ba night train blackberry because some people were saying it was carbing up now. but it was still flat. goldi's is awesome though. it foams all over the place when you open it, but tastes great.

Drinking the blackberry night train right now. Its got a nice bourbon and tart berry flavor but pretty much zero carbonation. A friend of mine recently had a barrel aged convenient distraction and said it was terrible. I hope at least the Goldilocks I bought turns out OK.
