Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale from Rouge. Absolutely disgusting... There were burnt bits of bacon in the bottom.

No, actually I said that Blushing Monk was the worst beer Ive tried. At least in the past year. Somebody else agreed and we then had a 2-post discussion on my overall disappointment on the 7-8 beers I tried from Founders while the CBC was in town.

But feel free to read it how you want "bub"

Rogue Sriracha Stout. Interesting for a sip, but I don't know how/why anyone would drink 22 oz of this. Total artificial aftertaste that lasted forever.

Without a doubt, it was Olympia Light.

Olympia was a barely tolerable lager, suitable for getting drunk and killing slugs and little else.

The "brewer" clearly made the light version by simply filling the can 3/4ths of the way with Olympia and topping it off with tap water.

Mind you this was back in 1989 or so and Olympia only cost $5/case. An important consideration while your are in college.

Recently, Coors, which in my view does not at all resemble the beer as it was in the 1970's when I first tried it. And also, Lionshead, a brand from The Lion in Wilkes-Barre. I like the old regional breweries and while I don't expect a full-bore craft taste, I can enjoy beers such as Yuengling Lager, Yuengling Porter, Labatt 50, Point Special, Genny Cream Ale, and numerous others from long-established small outfits. But I could not finish the Lionshead, or the Coors for that matter. (True enough the Lionshead was very inexpensive, but still).

I think I just poured it. Shiner Birthday Beer 106 Chocolate Stout. Smells like Chocolate Cake, which is an interesting feat. Tastes like something I will never drink again. Not the worst overall, but the worst in a long time.

Many years ago, but this was during the early craze of private label everything. Remember the plain white cans that would be labeled "PEAS", etc? Here was a badly failed attempt of private label beer for Giant Foods. I can still taste the nastiness on my tongue.

Oaken Barrel Indiana Amber from a decade ago is my benchmark for complete finger-in-throat abort. Think livestock vitamin and wonder bread infused bud.

Most green chili/peppery & spicy beers leave something to be desired. What a shame too; green chili and beer are amazing things.

I heard the Rogue bacon maple Voodoo Donut what pretty terrible. Also a glorious when sovereign combination.

I tried Utopias at DLD15, which was probably the worst thing I had all weekend.

Stone's Go To IPA was disgusting! Greatly surprised as it has been the only Stone beer I have disliked.

Another vote for habanero sculpin. Sculpin is such an awesome beer and they destroyed it by turning it into a spicy mess. I love spicy food and I love spicy beers as well, but they went over the line here... there was no semblance of sculpin left when they finished adding the peppers.
