I'll throw in a brand new Dyson DC65, an LG 41" LCD, and Braves season tickets.

I have a vertical of all the 100% versions setup I'm just waiting for the Cuivre to show up. I'm hearing mixed reports of Coton falling off, so I thought I should just pull the trigger on the set. I couldn't find a 100% Papier for anything....and if I even could I'd doubt I could even have anything that could pull it.

Oh great crystal ball of bruery knowledge, when was the first bottling of Melange #3? Previously I had thought it was 2010, yet the bruery's website lists it by year as 2009 so now I'm doubting myself.

All of the ones I had were great, maybe a little mellowed but still well carbed and very boozy/oily. The Coton didn't stand out but it was right in line with Cuir, with less heat than Fruet/Bois/Sucre.

Added to BA 2/14/09, so it does appear to be 2009.

I see a lot of "had it on tap" but was it actually bottled in 2009?

From Untappd it looks like the first bottling was 2010.

Hmm, I didn't check that. Quite possibly bottles were released in 2010.

This is correct, the first bottling run was for the first year of the RS, 2010. The 2009 reviews were when it was a draft-only beer at the brewery. I actually pulled my final bottle of this out of my cellar earlier this week and will be drinking it either tonight, or within the next couple weeks. I'll report back on how it's doing if anyone's curious.

Anyone pop a 75/25 Cuir recently? How is it drinking? I just came across one in the cellar and I wonder if I should pop it soon.

On the Coton train from up there^, I had the normal version a couple months ago, and it was incredible. I'd never tasted it fresh so I can't make a direct comparison, but it was very very good.

    From the RS FB Page:

Our Bruers have been working on some fun Bruery Terreux one-offs just for our anniversary party. Our Experimental Brewer Andrew has some details on a few of them to share with you:

    • Kevin's Fuzzy Peaches - our Production Supervisor Kevin's own peaches & cream inspired sour blonde. We took a sour blonde barrel that was brewed & treated with vanilla beans in June 2013, racked it into a brite tank just to infuse it with 126 lbs. of peaches, then added a little lactose to add a creamy mouthfeel.

    • Fruit Salad Oude Bruin - a blend of Oude Tart that was brewed in July 2013 and an Oud Bruin Pilot Batch. Inside this wine barrel we also threw in 27 lbs. of blackberries, 39 lbs. of raspberries, and 21 lbs. of blueberries -- so it's a surprise there was much room left in this barrel for any beer! The fruit was fermented to dryness by the mixed culture in the barrel and the resulting beer has a huge jammy aroma, deep purple hue, and is incredibly dry.

    • Semillon Sour Blonde - Semillon Sour Blonde is a single barrel of sour blonde that was brewed in December 2013. In June 2014 it received left over Semillon must from our Atomic Kangarue collaboration with Smog City Brewing, which fermented out with the mixed culture in the barrel. Semillon is a pretty subtle variety when used in dry wines (Bordeaux Blanc), with notes of mild citrus and minerals. This beer is very dry and citrusy with huge medium-plus American Oak contributions from a new to us wine barrel.
