Bruery ships PS as is. The bottles are in cardboard shippers inside the box.

I send my trustee a styro shipper. Rather safe than sorry. I'm a bit of an over-packer though.

Well it works for 2012 as well, as the first (bottled) batch was pretty mild on the hazelnuts as well.

If your shipping outside CA you may want to re box or cover it somehow. I've had a box returned to me for alcohol that I tried to re ship as is.

I love the anniversary beers. Most get better with age. Come on coton, cuir and papier!

im stoked to finally be able to add Portuguese brandy barrel to my sucre line up. my GF will be STOKED as sucre and the bruery are the things that REALLY made her love beer, and as a surprise gift for her birthday this year, ive been collecting all the variants. Now all I need is a RUM barrel :grinning:

You already scored a Cognac Sucre but don't have Rum? Considering their relative availability, Rum should be a piece of cake.

You should be able to pull that no problem!

Could be Rye (silver wax) or American Oak (dark gray wax). I'm guessing American Oak based on the tree portion of the image being the darker color, but it could be either.

I'm surprised Portuguese Brandy is still up considering the apparent rarity.

It's Sucre, no matter how rare it is it will sit! In two years everyone that had a chance to buy it, will bitch about not buying it!

Fruet is awesome! if i didnt have 2 bottles i'd be all over it.

For any one on the fence, its only behind BA cuir as the highest rated bruery anniversary beer, and at 15.50% its the most manageable.

I used to have a couple friends that were in PS donate their boxes to me. They don't come taped up, so you can just invert the box to be inside out. I use them for smaller trades, and there's still a little room to bubble wrap each beer individually.
