Upgrade: "Conversations"

    Heads-up. We're dropping some coin and upgrading "Conversations," which are the private threads/discussions that have replaced the old Beer Mail. See your Inbox; upper right nav.

    Here's the feature list from the developer:
    I'll need to take the forums down to do the install. I don't anticipate much down time (like 15-20mins tops), especially if I do some pre-installation prep work.

    This will, to put it lightly, greatly enhance our private messaging experience here at BA.

    Wish me luck! If all goes well we'll be messaging with the new system shortly.

    Update with an estimated time of install to follow soon ...

    These new forums are really nice, you guys are doing a great job. I guess last step is getting the reviews and stats integrated, and then.....i don't know......you take a well deserved break and drink a ton of beer.

    Is there a way to delete the conversation, like you would after you read/responded to a BM?

    Update: Upgrade complete!

    Sorry it took me a bit longer than anticipated. I discovered some bugs and was working with the developer to fix them. Anyway. We're good to go now.

    Please note that not all of the options are currently enabled.
    • Max number of conversation set to 100.
    • Creation of conversation groups and prefixes not enabled.
    Everything else that applies to Members should be operational.

    Enjoy the new enhanced messaging service!

    I do like the updates but I have a question. Is there a way to delete the conversations without leaving the conversation? It would be nice to trim down the number of conversations I have visible, yet get updates when some of the conversation starts up again.

    I forgot about that option. That would work, it would just be weird to have your name crossed off the participant list, but that is not a big deal.
