Yesterday my college roommate, one of my best friends, was in town from Baltimore, did some burgers and hot dogs on the grill, and introduced him to some awesome beers (he only would drink the hoppy ones, he doesn't do funky/sour or stouts). My wife had a girlfriend of hers, that my buddy also knows, come over as well; we spent like 4 hours playing Cards Against Humanity, the first time I actually played that game, and it was a blast.

Well sneaky little @LehighAce06 decided to send a little bomb my way, thinking we are just going to give up on this war. Along with the Yankee form letter he decided to add a little German influence to this battle, thinking we are just going to give up like the 'krauts. But he does know my affinity for fine German brews, and these did not disappoint.

Forest & Main - my first ones from these guys - Ash & Alder and Paradisaeidae - wants
Growler of ?? from Tired Hands - the label fell off and I can't find it. But this is one of my growler whales. Very excited.
Lost Abbey Red Poppy - wow, this has been a big want for long time.
Schneider Aventinus and Hopfen-Weiss - a top 5 beer for me as well as its cousin which is another great one.
Expedition - I like that I have this as a permawant because I love it and it seems to be available everywhere but here.
Port Old Viscosity - a fresh one too - been wanting to do a side by side with an older one I have - never had it either.
Terrapin Maggies Peach Farmhouse x5 - big want - love peaches and this is going to hit the spot cause its getting warm here.

I love sending to people where I know their likes so well and can hit lots of them The Tired Hands growler is full of Compound Nose, a Cascade dry-hopped rye saison (remember when I asked which growler "I" should open between hoppy/tart? )

Yeah, I originally planned for Sunday in AVL, but decided Sat might be the better bet, so I'll miss out on the Maceo. Good luck getting bottles of Golden Angel, I hear it might be a bit more hectic than last go around for Red Angel, with people missing out, loving apricot sours, and the holiday weekend crowds of people expecting to line up early as shit for a shot. They put more into the presale I was told too, but wouldn't have a way to verify if that was correct or not, so might be less for general sales this go around.

If you strike out on it, I can send you a bottle of Golden Angel. I bought a case to share after all!

We will have to plan to meet up so I can buy you a beer sometime when I'm up in the area.

 

If you are mentioning sharing the golden angel I would love to be your "dixie" huckleberry...
