I love FedEx deliveries on Saturday....so my poor porch has been through a lot this week here is some outside of the thread **** featuring some of Troy Casey's earlier work. Been trying to track this one down for a while now and excited to finally have it in hand.

American Wild Ale
ABV 6.4% SRM 6 IBU 15
The saying "Drink Local" doesn't get much more accurate then the flavor Queen Street Beach Plum offers. We cultivated wild yeast found on grapes growing behind the brewery, which brought a pleasant, subtle fruitiness and a unique mouth feel due to the abundant presence of wild Brettanomyces mingling with wild Saccharomyces. To push the fruity note a little more without over powering things, we infused the beer with beach plum pomace, which is the crushed skins and seeds left over after the Washington Inn made their very own Beach Plum Juice. With most of the juice removed, the pomace offers a soft flavor profile allowing the other ingredients a chance to shine, but enough to give the pale straw color a pinkish hue. Wildly refreshing, Queen Street Beach Plum is pleasant more then anything, but uniquely its own flavor.



Really nice beer for a warm day.

Yep a pretty big want of mine

 

Just booked flights for a July 4th weekend trip (July 2 - July 8)! HOU > ABQ > DRO > DEN > HOU. May be consulting our resident Coloradans @Kramerbarthomer and @vitaminvert for some help planning the Denver portion of the trip.

 

As others have said, not as much coconut as I'd expect, but I really liked it.

 

Casey release up in the mountains on July 4th, I'll likely be there and I'd definitely recommend going if you can...

 

Framboise Noir is insanely good.... and Troy's new blackberry sour, The Cut: Blackberry is being released in a couple weeks here, hopefully it lives up to it... also, 'dat Momi! Nice

 

Here's all you need to know. July 4th weekend is the Casey 1-Year Anniversary Party on Saturday. Plan to be in Glenwood Springs :-)

Hey Jabroni, listen up. If there's a beer you want to try, limited or not open your damn trap! Of anyone in this group you've earned an 'I'm ISO' or twelve. In fact I got a can for a regular trade partner of mine, but he got one another way and didn't care for it. So it's still sitting in my fridge. Had you said something it would be going in your upcoming box.

Chores are done, lawn mowed, cars washed...now a very nice ipa, thanks to @UcDru for both beer and #datglass.

Then headed to see mad max tonight at the Alamo draft house. Movies, food, and beer all rolled into one!
