2009 is considerably more rare and sought after than 2010, it's not a linear progression in rarity like the gap between most other vintages. It's still entirely attainable, but will take quite a bit more to pry out of someone's cellar than any other vintage.

Just picked one up after someone's cart emptied! I got on 15 minutes late and thought I screwed up.

Well I tried but it looks like I didn't get one once they were released.

If you keep trying you might be in luck. There is literally 1 bottle left now.

Lol, sounds like what I did. I called my Dad who's a veteran and realized what time it was when I hung up. My heart sank when I saw what it was, I'm glad it worked out for you too.

There's going to be mass clicking at Noon from people trying to snag that last one.

I just opened a 2015 Mash & Grind; has a lot of sediment and a sour flavor. It's definitely infected. I opened one right after release a few months back and it was fantastic. Anyone else run into this?

I opened one up a week ago and it had a lot of sediment. Flavor wasn't as great as I last remembered but I can't say mine was infected. I'll have to open another to see if in fact its infected. I'll update you

Sounds good. The sourness isn't so overwhelming that it is undrinkable (i.e. 2009 abyss), but it's there and it's not pleasant. I am still trying to put my glass down but my wife refused to drink her's and knowing I definitely can't drop two glasses in it's current state, it was sadly a drain pour.

I opened one on Thursday, and didn't have either problem. No excess sediment, and no sour flavor.

Didn't an email go out a while back saying M&G was infected? I had 3 bottles fresh (flawless beers), aged the others in my 55-degree cellar and opened one before I went to Copperversary - definitely infected, and very sour. Opened another to the same. Not complaining though, I thought they were delicious. Mentioned it to the guys at the tasting room and they confirmed that M&G bottles are souring and should be drank now or at least kept in the fridge.

If you kept your bottles in the fridge the entire time you should be fine, those that cellared it will have sours

ps: clicked repeatedly from 12:08pm CST to 1:15pm CST and missed out on BT :\

Not that I recall or I would have put my last bottle in the fridge. I was going to do a coffee barleywine side by side soon, it will be disappointing if the M&G is sour.

I guess you guys just chose what I'm drinking tonight. Mine was stored in ~68F, not the cellar so...we'll see.

I'll be throwing my three bottles in the fridge as soon as I get home. Updates welcome once you guys taste yours.

Drank my last one two weeks ago stored at 52F in my beer fridge. No sourness and solid coffee presence. Overall a tasty experience.

Are we to assume that bottles dated Oct. 2014 are not affected by whatever issue is being attributed to these 2015 bottles?
