Appreciated the chance at your Weight Loss winning box. Saw you've had 2 of them after I boxed it up but the one you rated higher than the norm so glad you liked it and now have another one to drink / age.

I've been trying to keep a few each year.... waxing different color each year along with stamping the top. Went with the same purple they used this year on the cap, so technically my '13 should be red instead of black haha

 

You might be a good person to ask, I recently bought a bottle that I was told was from 2010 and has a red cap, can you confirm or deny that the 2010 release used red caps?

 

From what I remember they always used to have red caps. Pretty sure this was the first year for a new color. I've drank it for a while but '13 was when I started saving a few from ea. year. '15 might be purple again just to match the label a little more or they might change it again yearly. If it stays purple my wax will change regardless.

 

You can see how the labels changed some this year (2014) ... so probably part of the cap color change

 

I knew that the label/cap color changed from '13 to '14, but I wasn't sure if it was an annual change or if it was always red. I generally trust that bottle shop to be on point with the vintage of their bottles, so it's good to know that one wasn't an obvious miss.

 

So @psbhockey12 decided for some reason he had to ninja me after I ninja'd him with my winnings from @Damian74Shensky's weight loss LIF. What a sneaky bastard, now on to the pROn!

Voodoo Brewing Company - BBVD ('14, Custom Waxed), Killapilz, Wynona's Big Brown Ale, Hoodoo, & Voodoo Love Child - Just missed out on a Voodoo tap takeover at a local spot that had most of these beers on, was bummed about that but now I get them in bottle form.
Voodoo Snifter - #properglassware for the above beers, love me some proper glassware.

Definitely Red caps until 2014. No date stamp or anything, so it's up to trust to who you got it from.

EDIT: I always sharpied the date on top of mine to remember which are which.

I might be at Troegs this weekend if you want to buy me and beer and I will drink it and report back to Ryan haha

Completely unsure, working those details out as we speak as my wife is leaving me car less from Pottsville on Friday AM and I am trying to get to my buddies in Palmyra, but it'd be Friday only, not Saturday and probably hit Troegs or something if I can get down to his place.

 

Friday would be better actually, Troegs will be obnoxiously busy but let me know if you are around and I'll see what I can do.
