@Mikexw--I have wanted to try something, anything, from this brewer since the first time you posted a VBS of Plan Bee and mentioned the farmer's market connection! Somehow, I never added them to my wants, maybe because I never thought I would actually get the chance to track one down...

An entire box of Plan Bee! I don't think that there is a horizontal from a NY brewer that I could be more excited about trying! Amazing!

Even the wax is extra cool!

Finally my nightcap. Tried a million ways to get #datglass to show #datcolor but didn't work out. Still a great beer.

Tired Hands Pineal - Had to do a taste test on this one, it passed the test and I grabbed a growler to send to my AA target. Hope this IPA is "juicy" enough for you, your box is now complete and will be heading out on Monday!

 

Duuuuuuuuuuude. I passed on this trip because I figured it'd be Captain Lawrence, or Carton, or Kane, all breweries I've had plenty from and wanted to let others have a shot....... Definitely regret not putting my name in the hat for this box.

 

I would have loved any of those too, but...

I REALLY LOVE the Plan Bee Box!!!

 

I can't be too upset, Mike has hooked me up with a couple of their beers already, but that still is a hell of a box.

 

AA Hints:
- I have shipped to my target's state before.
- I have been in BM conversations with my target before
- I've had less than 20 distinct brews from my target's state.

 

It's good, missing a little something. Maybe some depth. Better as it warmed up.

I actually don't really have access to Carton or Kane -- Plan Bee was Plan A all along (I usually buy 2 or 3 bottles of anything he sells, so I always have a little extra). The only other possibilities were Captain Lawrence, Single Cut or Rushing Duck, but CL is mostly 12 oz bottles and I wanted to send bombers, while Rushing Duck doesn't bottle that much of their stuff. And Single Cut is mainly 16 oz'ers that are hard to chase down AND are mostly hoppy stuff, so they might not have been #lehighfresh. Those three are "real" locals for me (within an hour or hour and a half), as opposed to other NY-based breweries like Southern Tier, Brooklyn, or Ithaca.

So I've got a Trillium Artaic and a 4-pack of Heady Topper I'd like to share with someone from the group. Like this post and I'll choose one of you on Monday to send a box to!
