...but a necessary one. I keep a list of upgrades to my brewery then when I'm off for summer I suck it up and do them all at one time. Stupid tank/regulator takes up too much room in the fridge. Gonna carefully drill holes in side and run tubing through from outside using grommets.

Just bottling a turbo cider. I used the cake from a coopers spakling ale kit, so there are hops and some beer in there so it counts for this forum :open_mouth:

I'm going to find a recipe for a pils and see if I can do a hoppy pils. I had one from Firestone walker and I want to try it. Get out the cooler box.

Just brewed a batch of Bavaria Heffe. Simple, straightforward, and seasonal. Keg in 4 weeks.

I'm sure it's delicious. Their is a local mead maker near me that dry hops his mead. He used to have 2, but I guess he just has the one now. I'm under the impression he uses beer yeast also. I'll have to ask him next time I see him. It's good stuff if anyone is near the Conroe / far North Houston area.

Planning to brew up a Kolsch to propagate yeast (2565) for a biere de mars. I plan to have it as my Christmas beer this year.

    Might be next weekend though.

@DrMindbender I thought you were joking about the honey beer comment. As much as I love the forum, some of the moderation is a bit ridiculous.

I'm surprised it was taken down, seeing as it had hops and beer yeast. If I brewed a sorghum gruit, it would only have 1 of the 3 necessary (IMO) ingredients for "beer", but it would likely be up for discussion on the forum.

Any mods care to chime in on where the line is here? For example, last year I blended a dry cider with an amber ale. Is that fair game? What about a dry-hopped mead fermented with sacch and a pinch of DME?

    TIA

Tell me about it! A little closed minded and ridiculous if you ask me!

I don't understand why we can't get a "Honey Beer"/Mead forum...there have been multiple attempts and complaints about it but the powers that be are all powerful and all deciding! Mead is more of a sister to craft beer than wine in today's age, but I guess BA hasn't figured that one out yet. And WTF ever happened to the First Amendment????
