NBO - 12 Days of Summer BIF

Somehow you've eluded my shipping notifications

 

So I know @mklisz (and one of you NJ folks... @Syracuse12 or @ohyeahitsmuff) are going to VT Hop Jam in August, but is anyone going to the Burlington Beer Fest, July 18th? I'm heading up Wednesday and hoping to convince the girlfriend to detour to Hill Farmstead (only 2-hours more driving!) before grabbing lunch in Waterbury and hopefully stocking up on HT too. I'd be happy to bring up a few bottles of Trillium if anyone's interested.

I'm the one going to Hop Jam. Not going to make Burlington though. Needed to get the grandparents lined up months in advance for Hop jam.

 

I went to go drop off your box my dearest target when I saw leakage in the box... A bottle somehow broke and will delay my drop off. Hopefully I get it out today but even tomorrow will be okay

 

Caution: If you have shipping notifications from Daybreak Foods, Inc out of Lake Mills, WI- be prepared to apologize to the UPS driver. Direct quote "you're trying to kill me today, huh?" snapped a quick picture as he was limping away. I just happened to be home sick today from work.



@richkrull destroyed it. Unpacked the 12 bottle shipper first. Found some awesome glassware and shirt from Tyranena. Never heard of it, but hoping there is some of their beer in here too.



Now onto the beer. Rich sent me 22 vessels for 12 days. Only days 4 and 11 are one beer and they are both bombers. And they are both Tuesdays. He must think that is the only day to take it easy.



I have a busy 12 days coming up. Thanks again Rich. Gotta love day 12 with princess wrapping. Going to kill my liver in style.

 

Just gonna steal my thunder like that, @richkrull? Well at least you didn't do all 12 days in alternating light and dark pink princess wrapping paper. That would have been going too far.

 

I used a princess gift bag for one of my target's days...the day that just so happens to be his birthday.

 

Dear target, I'm sorry I'm not sorry that my wrapping job looks to be a strong contender for "worst packing job". While it gets the job done, aesthetically it truly is awful.

I'll refer you to what I've been being told all my life, "it's what's on the inside that counts" (in my case, that was never all that comforting.... )

 

So I am super frustrated.

My boyfriend, to which I should not give such important tasks, put the WRONG label on the last 12 shipper and it is going to @NickyPogs instead of @PassMeAZima

Has anyone rerouted a shipment before when it is already on the truck?

 

Never heard of such a thing, but on the plus side Nicky can send to Zima once he gets it, you just need to send him a label. Just make Greg pay for the extra shipping cost

That is an idea but day 2 is in this box =( and he won't get it til Monday if we do that

 

Oh crap, didn't think of that You definitely can call FedEx and see what they say...

On the other hand, in my experience when trying to make something simple turn into something more complicated (say, special instructions at a restaurant), it often ends poorly; it's worth considering if sacrificing an on-time day 2 is worth avoiding them possibly losing the box by trying to get fancy.

 

Can I just drink both 12 Day boxes??? I can pack Jason up some shit from my cellar lol.

 

The long national nightmare is over. We have confirmed impact on @vitaminvert's porch. However, there are reports of casualties. One of the boxes was "repacked by UPS". We will have to await word from our reporter on the scene.

 

Hmm @Mipper , looks like I will be calling additional audibles tonight. My brother in law just got in town from MI and I believe he has a few Michigan brews for me also. Box is going out tomorrow...looks like the ABV will be increasing!

I'll do some additional research on wants and check ins tonight and raid the cellar. Make sure they're up to date!
