Starting this one a couple days early because they just announced Wednesday's tap list:

    Sea Hag, G-Bot, Fat-10-er 6, Fat-10-er 23, F|_|zzy B@by D|_|cks, and Sorachi Ace Saison.

I might have to sit this one out. Waited 2 hours and 45 minutes for 3 growler fills last Wednesday, probably going to be just as bad, if not worse. They never announce ducks this early, bad idea IMO. I know people shit on them sometimes for all the silent releases, or only announcing stuff like ducks right before open, but i am a fan of that, probably because i live close to the brewery. I hope treehouse opens this wednesday again lol, it will be a good day to go there.

I'm not sure ducks is a "need to have" for me anymore, so I'm glad I'll be on a mini-vacation in VT come Wednesday. Caught the last two releases and I'm going to have a fridge full of HF growlers (hopefully double citra lasts) come Thursday. Have 2l each of #2, #22, and #23 that I would like to kill before Friday, too. Sheep gonna sheep.

Anyone open a flat growler that was filled on wednesday last week? I figured my cap just wasn't tight enough, but i saw someone else post on facebook with the same issue.

I guess they're feeling pretty confident in their new growler line set up. Talk about trial by fire there with that special guy in the line up.

Mine was good. I got a fill on Friday, opened it Saturday and finished it Sunday (I rarely save an opened growler). It stayed nicely carbonated. I wonder if they were having some line issues since Wed. was their first day back?

Borderline drainpour flat. Like it was opened the day before, drank half of it and left in the fridge for 24 hours. I always tighten my caps at nebco, and i think i forgot to. But i didn't notice it being loose when i opened it. It was a 32oz of #23, and i have another fill still in the frigde, so i guess i will know if there was an issue with the fills when i open that one.

That's how I'd describe the 32 oz #2 I had on Friday (picked up Thursday). Gave it a pretty vigorous pour and only got maybe a 1/2 finger head that disappeared very quickly.

quick question for you guys, heading up to VT from NYC on friday and planning to stop at treehouse on the way. noticed that NEBCO is also basically right on the way, so am thinking about stopping there as well. I know its a bit of a wildcard because of FBD being on (and there's a new brewery now, correct?), but generally how long is the line on friday at open? Would like to stop in quickly because we want to make sure we get to treehouse at a reasonable time, so want to see if this plausible without having to get to NEBCO super early.

    thanks!

Ducks will be gone by friday, if it isn't I will be very suprised. It's a little tricky to guess wait times since they just re-opened after renovations, but i don't think friday will be that bad. If you try to do nebco>treehouse>northern vermont in one day you will be arriving pretty late. Try to get to nebco by at least 2:30 or earlier if you want to make it to treehouse by open. Friday is a good day to stop at tree, generally less busy than thursday or saturday, but if you get there at open still expect a 1+-2 hour wait for growlers. I have a feeling they will be doing high can limits this week for the holiday so it will probably be pretty busy there, last week was very busy. If you are trying to make it to VT for a late dinner and check out the bars there, i would recomend skipping nebco, and be at treehouse before 4. Good luck!

This Friday's probably going to be a shit show at Tree House, being a day lots of people have off right before one of the biggest drinking holidays of the year. If you're trying to get up to VT at a decent time you'll need to get there early, unless you're just looking to pick up cans.

Had a growler of #2 go almost completely flat on me from Wednesday to Friday. Thought it was just me but then I started seeing people here and on facebook who had similar issues.

Last time (November, I believe) it did.

The problem with guessing if it will last now, is that they announced it two days in advance, which will only fuel the hype. Plus I'm sure there are a lot of people (like myself) who were planning on going for the first time since they've re opened.

But then again they also have a bunch of stuff on tap with 2 per style 3 overall limit. Wouldn't be shocked either way I guess.

Last time they brewed it was mid February, they brewed a double batch i believe, so 20bbls (not sure about this) and it lasted for a few hours the second day. They also sent alot of that batch out to local bars.
