Bruery 2015 RS/HS Allocations

For the most part it seems like people didn't enjoy this beer. I wonder if they'll recall this one. Let us know what you find out please. Thanks

 

I bought 3, but the bottles are still at the bruery waiting for shipping... getting worried.

 

Seems strange we've gotten no word from the Bruery yet on this given the activity in this thread and the fact several people have indicated they've contacted the Bruery directly.

 

I opened a bottle of Hottenroth w/ peaches last week and it tasted fantastic. Just as good as when I had it on tap a couple of months ago, so there's hope for many of you waiting to pick up your bottles.

 

I'm far from being a cicerone, I cant pick out bacterias and infections by taste, I just know the bottle I opened on Friday was a drain pour, almost had a buttery characteristic to it

 

Damn. I thought it was good so I bought all 3. Hopefully it mellows.

 

I talked to the Society Desk last week and they did say they are looking into it, but have yet to come to a conclusion. His recommendation in the mean time was to keep the bottles in the cellar and not refrigerate as that would help to kill off the Diacetyl. He said to hold them for about 1-2 weeks and you should be in the clear. I've opened 2 so far, 1 immediate drain pour, and the second was drinkable but still had an slightly off flavor profile and a strange mouth feel to it. The kegged versions I had were A-OK, hopefully that helps..

 

I am in for the Black Tuesday treatment tournament. Anyone else?

 

I feel like I should but I don't know the first thing about making beer, but I do not flavor profiles. I just don't want to be a third wheel who can't help.

Time to order crap load of different vanilla beans and load up on shredded coconut. Maybe get some different berries also..
Toasted cocconut with bt at the m11 tournament was soo good!

 

I'm trying to think outside the box here. I really don't want to try and make a Prop Tuesday or a Mexican Tuesday or... you get what I'm getting at.

 

Since you'll have mass quantities of BT to eff with... Sarsaparilla...?
