Bottled a black IPA today. Primed with wildflower honey. Wonderful mouth feel. Looks like it will have a long lasting, dark cream colored head.

Brewed up a Zombie Dust clone on Thursday and brewing up a SNPA or hoppy hefeweizen tomorrow (depending on how much the head hurts in the morning) or Monday.

Looks like oil from a bulldozer motor that hasn't been changed in like a decade. Nice.

Brewed an IPA this morning, trying out a new malt recipe with it while trying to use up some of the leftover hops in the freezer. Amarillo, Centennial, Galena, and Galaxy for hops. Fermenting now more vigorously than I've ever seen.

Does making starters count? :grinning: I brought some 3724 back form the dead (2.5 months old... yikes). For a while there I thought it was nonviable.

No brewing for me this weekend, I've got the privilege of tearing out the flooring in our front entryway, and installing a new one. Not looking forward to it.

However, I did hit up the LHBS and got the ingredients to brew an extract IPA, that I'll be adding passion fruit to, for next weekend. I haven't brewed an extract batch in 2 years or so, but since I'm not going to have enough time to brew an AG batch this month...I thought what the hell.

Whole fruit, extract, puree, juice? I've been kicking around the idea of a passion fruit IPA for awhile.

Juiced whole fruit, the plan is to basically juice them like you would a lemon/lime, and then add it to the fermenter sometime after high krausen.

Looks good @ventura78 ! Do you have to have a special corker / caper to do that?

    Also, go Astros! :grinning:

Just started the boil on an IIPA. Columbus/Mosaic/Amarillo/Cascade. For the first time, nailed my pre-boil OG (credit to BrewCipher)! Took a pic during hot break (and I will not attempt to define hot break).

I'm finally letting the fermentation wind down on None More Black batch 2. Poured some NMB from last summer to celebrate. ABV of batch 2 is 30.13% right now. I expect it to drop a few points over the next week or two, and with the bourbon addition it will probably break 31%.

    Hey all,

I just brewed my first home-brew yesterday in over three years! I finally have all of my own equipment and wanted to get back into it. Just brewed a basic wheat ale. All seems to be going well, pretty much nailed the starting O.G., and it is fermenting away in primary right now. Only thing i am a bit worried about is how warm it is here, I've got it in the coolest possible place I can find in my apartment, so we shall see what happens. Should be racking to secondary in a few more days.

    Cheers!

Brewed a split 5 gallon batch, half with some Oberson yeast that'll dry hop with Sazz, have Abbey II with some Boulevard and Praire dregs for a brett'd saison.

Didn't think I'd get to brew this weekend, but the stars aligned and I was able to sneak in a Weizen on the 4th.

Going to be brewing a rye pale ale on Tuesday that I'm getting pretty excited about. I tried the blonde I bottled a week ago and it's just about ready to take out to the beach!
