Smoking some ribs on the Weber, chicken is next, banging that HipHop BBQ on Pandora, crushing my Brett IPA

Got the BBQ sauce on the stove with 2 Wee Heavies, a Brett Tripel, and Blackberry Sour Blonde.

    Happy 4th y'all!

I'm glad the 4th is over. I didn't celebrate. Unfortunately, my next door neighbors produced 5 hours worth of illegal fireworks, extra shitty music and low grade drunk conversation.

To celebrate the calm after the storm, Brew_Betty is gonna get blitzed on Rakau Simcoe Where da Funk Ale. Woot!

Kolsch! Well, as close as it gets in northern WI. Which is pretty darn delicious, I must say.

    'Tis the season . . .

. . . for a Saison: dh'ed with Triskell, just like the pros from Tourpes.

I'm impressed: even after two wh's and a tripel you managed to engage "auto-level" . . . maybe because you didn't want hot BBQ sauce spilling out?

Triskel is an under rated, lesser known, rarely used hop. I think it's absolutely wonderful in Saisons. If you haven't used it in the boil, give it a try. A single hop Triskel saison makes a very pleasant beer.

Oh I thought you mentioned in another thread about getting it. My reading comprehension skills were never that great.

Sure. So hide it for 10 years! That doesn't make you any more hospitable, you know?

Just brewed the latest iteration of the Koelsch (left)...while drinking Classic Rauchbier (middle) and a Czech Dark (rt.). The Czech Dark is really starting to come into its own after 6 weeks, but I suspect it won't peak until 9+ weeks. Rauch is about 10 weeks in and is really tasting delicious.

Oh yea, and got a new pH meter...

    Prost, and Happy 4th!

I'm drinking a Simcoe smash Ipa. It is pretty dam good. I love simcoe hops. The keg is about to kick and then I will switch to the Mosaic pale. The mosaic is a little too fruity of a taste but great aroma. I am still about 3 weeks from the Pliny clone which im really looking forward to.

Just cracked open a Rollover DIPA. This is my first home brew that I created the recipe for. Turned out really good. Been going through the bottles pretty quick. Need to brew again but with my bachelor party slated for this Thursday in Vegas it is gonna have to wait till next week sometime. Cheers!

This glass does it no justice, but this is my APA I've been working on for a while. I'd say I'm almost there... Very happpy with it, but next time there will be more flame out additions.
