VBS, awesome Day 2 from @NickyPogs. This one was a want of mine and is tasting pretty damn good.

I enjoyed it actually this morning incognito style at a rest stop on the way to Seattle

Alright finally catching up after arriving home. Here is day 1 thanks to @jschott75 hitting another want. May be one of my favorite American Barleywines, at 1 year old and I could imagine it tasting delicious fresh and hoppier or aged. AleSmith is certainly a brewery I would love to see in my area, if only for stocking my cellar with this, Olde Ale and Wee Heavy. [IMG]
And for I had Day 2 waiting in the fridge for me when I got home. Pipeworks is a favorite of mine and this is another great one from them. If this is the kind of beer that is sent my way and isn't one of my wants, I am a happy man.

Glad you liked it. That is one very polarizing brew (as most braggots tend to be). I have some great memories of camping under the stars and ghost stories myself but I do have to say I am going to steal that "most memorable poop in the woods" idea. Seems like a great ice breaker for the kiddos and good fun to boot!
I have a long shift tomorrow so I'm going to go ahead and leave this here for @Dave_Treat to puzzle over... The next brew (#3). Seeing as you enjoy exploring, father and son, and all. I do enjoy hearing the exploits of Gaultier De La Verendrye and his father Pierre although if I would have been Pierre, and knowing the "Ruler" that Gaultier was going to be I would have named him in Greek for sure...

#VBS / #12DoSDay2 - This was supposed to be "Day 0" but was subbed in as Day 2 due to growler leakage. Crowler of Kane Head High, what should have been a want. Very nice IPA, easy drinking, and a great Sunday afternoon beverage. Thanks @JNForsyth

Time for Day #2 from @UTvols05. Opening up my mystery growler.

Could be a stout but seems a little thin and light, nose is mostly chocolate and roasts with some sweet coconut, I'll have to go with porter. Getting lots of chocolate flavors and a little coconut, both are sweet and work together well almost like a mounds bar. A little thin so I'm sticking with the porter guess, coconut sweetness stays with you for a bit on a aftertaste.
Overall a pretty nice beer, reminds me a little bit of Last Snow from Funky Buddha but with more chocolate and less coconut.

Let me see if I can successfully get this stick off the label and we can all see what the hell I'm drinking!

Their first bottle release ever, and in my opinion a very good one. Sugar Creek is a new brewery in Charlotte that does all Belgian styles. Let me know what you think!

Awesome! It wasn't hard to peg it as a porter but the coconut is subtle and it took me a while to figure out what I was tasting. Thanks again, can't wait for tomorrow, I see three beers!

Coconut comes out pretty big as it warms.

And the 3 beers tomorrow are all 12oz, so no worries, right?

    Cheers!
