Any reviews of Melange #11 from Society Member Monday? The scores on Untappd are...interesting...

I've still got a bottle of RdF. Kept it cellared at 53 degrees. Wonder how it's drinking these days (yes, I know it was infected).

Someone told me they opened one recently and it was as good as on day one. You should be good. I wish I had one more bottle

"infected"......The one I traded away about a month ago, was opened and wasn't sour.

I'm not sure what the deal was unless they had some bad barrels they couldn't use for the Chrono 6 blend...

hit the magic formula and then you find the golden ticket, I mean...HS invite in your mailbox. You'll also get e-mails for HS renewals when they open membership to tempt you into taking the plunge.

I have one left at fridge temp also. Still have many a bottle of FdR though... I should probably see if FdR has changed for the better.

I really hope I hear back from my trustee in the near future. Because with this month shit's about to get silly if I don't move some beers...

Unless they just felt like not enough barrels were tasting good at six months and they thought it would bring down the quality of the beer by using as many as they had originally intended.

Same here. Would love the opportunity to share those special Hoarders only beers with my friends! I think I check my email a few times a day just in case heh.

I opened one about a month ago which was left in the pantry since last year. It was noticeably tart (not just due to any cherry tartness). I loved the bottles I opened fresh. This one was a borderline drain pour. This obviously should not have been aged in the pantry so I'll just file this in the 'For Science!' category.

Included beers certainly seem more exciting than in 2015.

Just got my HS renewal email. I love how they make it sound like they're doing us a favor by moving the renewals up to allow us to "better forecast our purchases" AND they're not giving us a projected beer list. I get that the projected beer list has ended up biting them in the ass when something goes wrong, but it doesn't help rebuild faith that year over year, they're giving us less projections and information rather than more.

I'm curious to see what beers are released in August before making a decision, but the fact that they're playing things closer to the vest isn't quite what I hoped for.

Yeah... Looks like for next year they WONT post a release schedule of beers because it puts too much stress on them. These are the hints on next years releases in the email though ....

    "
Fruited sours. Wild beer. Gose. A series of Berliner Weisses. Lagers of many sizes - from hoppy and spicy to big malty doppelbock. New collaborations, and perhaps the return of a cult classic or two... A new cocktail-inspired beer. New applications of our White Oak Sap and additions of coffee. New installments in ongoing series. New variations of big barrel-aged beers. Plus many returning favorites from previous years and other surprises we have up our sleeves."
