If he didn't waste so much time with hyperbolic articles like that one and his "feud" with David Chang it'd be a lot easier to take his opinions and his beer more seriously. Meanwhile I can go to any shelf that has a BB beer and find something at least as good (most of the time it's something better and fresher) within arms reach. It's rarely a hard decision to make with his antics. I doubt I'm alone in this opinion.

the point is that i don't see any reason to take you seriously. are you a craft beer pioneer?

considering the article lists reasons ("hyperbolic" or otherwise), while you list theses, i'm left to judge only authority. ...and what authority do you have? did you brew anything i like more than brooklyn blast or black chocolate stout?

Do brooklyn blast and black chocolate stout go bad the second they're exposed to air or light? It's a stupid article that posits a stupid position. Reality clashes with the opinion he puts forth in the article, being a pioneer doesn't change that.

The original article is from 2011. A lot has changed since then, mainly consumers are more educated about growlers (obviously not everyone). Second, since Garret Oliver's comments were a bit over-the-top, Bon Appetit did a follow-up, with many brewers disagreeing with some of his statements:

Notice that Sam of Dogfish points out that bottles are the best. I'd bet in the 4 years since that article many brewers would disagree and today say cans are best.
