It very much varies. I only drink one or two maybe three tops during the week but I do occasionally kill a fifteen pack of All Day on a weekend night...

I probably drink a few full beers a day but there are many days where I go to a local watering hole and try a few flights so I get to try more and drink the same amount!!!

Probably an average of 2 beers total during the workweek, and maybe an additional 2-4 over the weekend. Some of those weekend beers are replaced by a scotch or bourbon though, depending upon the mood.

    I voted 15-21, but it isn't 2-3 a day. More like 0-1 M/T/W, then 0-4 Thur, 14 or so over the course of F/S/S.

My problem is I have SOOO much good beer in my fridge I feel like I need to drink more. I cannot stop buying old favorites or new wants any time I see them. For example I went to Wormtown last night to get a growler of Be Hoppy, noticed they had 4 packs of cans, so added that to my purchase, then I went to Wegman's saw a 6 pack of Be Hoppy in bottles, bottled 7/29, I figured I can't pass that up. So now I have we will call it 12 super fresh IPA's that I feel like I need to drink ASAP, in addition to the numerous other beers in the fridge.
We are having a block party this weekend, I guess my neighbors will be lucky and enjoy the fruits of my labor when I roll the cooler down to the end of my driveway.

Lately I've been doing 2 a night, that's consistent - no more on weekends than on weekdays. I'd like to get down to 1 a night on weekdays, maybe even going so far as to get down to only drinking fri-sun

I LOVE beer, but I'm seriously concerned for the 8.2% that replied 29+. Kudos for supporting the industry, but you might want to seek help.

I used to be in the same boat. About a year ago, I played a pickup basketball game with some colleagues that were probably 10 years younger than me and I realized my devastating crossover dribble was now basically a stationary head juke. I was shell of my former self. I started running 3-4 miles at 5:30 AM each day during the week and the Monday - Thursday beers eventually dissipated. But I increased a little on the weekends.

That's EXACTLY what I keep meaning to do, except I have to get up earlier than that. That's the hard part. I'm motivated all day at work, literally IN THE MOOD to exercise, and I'll go to bed with the alarm set early and the equipment all set out, then I'll wake up and hit snooze 5 times. Sometimes I will manage to crawl out of bed at 4:30 but then I'll just stare at my phone like a damn fool for an hour. It's tough man. The morning is the only time I have, it's just really hard for me to make it happen when I'm not getting to bed early - which is tough to do at this time simply because of life situations.

    Gosh, I'm full of excuses.

Your profile says you are a dude, so I feel it is my duty to call you out publicly and shame you for admitting you drink cosmos. Not saying they aren't tasty, but you should know better than to say that out loud.

Try to stick to 4 beers/week, but many times it turns into 6. Quality over quantity imo.

I try to keep my drinking to 14 "drinks" (see note below) per week. My doctor said an average of two per day is just fine. Typically though, I'm a combination of the second and third choices in this poll, usually landing around 10-16 per week (with those beers consumed pretty much between the days of Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which is clearly not what the doc was saying). I make it worse too, as I will "borrow" from weeks, which is my own bullshit rationalization. In other words, this week I don't have many social plans, so probably won't drink much. Next week is a different story though. So if I drink seven beers this week, I'll roll over that remaining seven to next week and not beat myself up if I drink 20 beers over the course of next week. Again, this is clearly not what medical professions mean by an average of two drinks per day, but hey, I can't live by the book with everything.

Note: I count drinks as each 12oz of 5% ABV liquid I consume. So if it's the bomber of Long Trail's 25th Anniversary I got as a present recently (9%), I count that as a little over three beers. I always just multiply the abv by the ounces and then divide that total by 60 (as a typical beer would 5% abv and 12 oz (so 5x12=60). That tells me how many "drinks" I've had. If the whiskey comes out that's a different story. I've got a heavy hand with pouring that and so I usually just count anything I'm drinking out of my rocks glass as two drinks.

Great question! I very often fall around 6-7, so I was torn between the first two answers. I ended up choosing the second answer. I have a pet peeve about range polls, and am still waiting for the day when standard practice allows pollees to enter their own range, which results in histogram of lower and upper bounds to be spit out.

    Usually:

    Monday/Tuesday - 0 to 1 per day
    Wednesday - 2 to 4
    Thurs/Fri - 0 to 1 per day
    Saturday - 2 to 4
    Sunday - 0 to 1

Usually Wednesday/Saturday are the "drinking" days. The others I will just have one (or none).

I limit my intake so I can let loose during special occassions/beer trips ("non-standard weeks"). I never limit myself on vacation!
