After months of nothing there's an update in the Stone Saloon's blog. They have a hearing coming up on 8/13/15 before the St. Paul Heritage Comission on the historic designation of their building. Also up for review is their request for a variance to operate a beer only Civil War Era Saloon.

I'm of the Opinion that one of the "coming soon" breweries will never actually brew their own beer (despite the name of the bar) and it's all just a marketing scam. Also for those adventurous folks out, said bar is known in the area as somewhat of a cougar hangout and a swingers bar.

 

Which one? - Asking for a friend.

Meat raffles, cheap drinks, service industry nights, Cougars, and bowling -- who needs brew kettles?

Stopped by Life's Too Short in Rochester this weekend. Pretty solid. Nothing was bad, and their Kolsch actually had flavor. The Inspiration IPA had a great nose on it, and was worth going back for. We'll be stopping in again. They had heavy traffic, and it seemed like a lot of the customers liked the beer.

Can't imagine Kinney Creek has much time left.
